Corn Board Painting This painting will be completed on a long wooden board. Pick Up Sticks Quilt Technique Pick Up Sticks will give you an opportunity to learn slicing fabric & adding a stick to change the color composition of the quilt blocks. Learn to slice again to add a second stick to rejoin with perfect intersections. *Time: 9:30 am-1:30 pm *Teacher: Rita Hardman with some sewing skills *Students must bring: 20 pieces of varying prints, solids, and checks cut to 9.5 inch squares; 20 strips cut to 1 inch long by 42 inches. These need to coordinate with 9.5 inch squares so solids work well. The more variety the better. Sewing machine, neutral thread, scissors, seam ripper, rotary cutter, design surface, cutting ruler, 1/4 inch seam marked for stitching. Mini (single event) Scrapbook Students will use scoring, cutting, and folding, gluing, punching, and some stamping and will construct a fun folded album with an attractive cover that ties shut for storage and safekeeping.
