The award ceremony took place on 31 of October during the Business Forum in the frames of session Attracting new talents to the industry. The winners were awarded with prizes by Anatoly Steinberg, Chairman of Supervisory Board of SFT Group. Attracting personnel to the industry on the PAP-FOR project The session Focus on people was held on 31st of October in the frames of International Business Forum PAP-FOR. The core pulp and paper mills of Russia, profile educational institutes and recruiting agencies spoke about the lack of qualified human resources in Pulp and Paper industry. Yulia Sakharova, Director, HeadHunter Saint-Petersburg gave a labor market overview for the forestry.
Tatiana Novikova, HR Director, Mondi Group told how one of the largest and most successful paper mills in Russia develops and retains the personnel. Tatiana Gromova, Deputy HR Director, Ilim Group made a presentation Ilim Group s big projects: modernization starts with people. The session was moderated by Professor Eduard Akim, Member FAO UN Advisory Committee on Paper and Wood products, Head of Department, St. Petersburg State Technological University of Plant Polymers, Russia. Jobs Fair project was presented at the exhibition PAP-FOR with a partnership of the largest recruiting portal in Russia HeadHunter. The project aimed to attract to the industry highly qualified, young and talent specialists. All potential employers and candidates could leave their offers and CVs on the special stand. A special excursion for the school children of 6 and 9 grades of the one of Saint-Petersburg public schools was organized on the 2 nd of November. The excursion was devoted to tell kids more about the industry and occupation in pulp and paper field. The tour was guided by Ivan Mitin, Deputy Editor, magazine Pulp.Paper.Board. The students were told about the industry in general, where the paper came from, how it was made, what was the usage, how the manufacturing were allocated geographically, what career prospects industry would offer to kids in future. The school children took an opportunity to walk around the whole exhibition, to watch the stands of the largest producers of paper and board and to see the products displayed. Also they were demonstrated a live cardboard making process and after students were able to make up cartons by themselves.
