Round Velcro 1/8 yd 987 Fusible Fleece 1 large spool all purpose thread PURSE (finished size: 14 across x 9 tall x 4.5 deep) Step 1. Cut the Fabric Pieces A. Cut out interior and exterior pieces using the patterns for a total of 16 pieces. B. Cut out lining pieces and trim ¼ allowance on all sides for a total of 7 pieces. C. Mark all fold and pin locations with a pencil, marker, or chalk. Step 2. Make the Straps A. Fold the straps in half lengthwise right side out and press. Open it back up. B. Cut interfacing to half the width of the strap. Place interfacing on one side of the wrong side. Fuse according to manufacturer s instructions. Fusible liner C. Fold under all edges 1/4 and press. Fold strap in half lengthwise again right side out. Top stitch 1/8 on the three open edges. Set the straps aside. Make the Exterior and Attach the Straps A. Fold detail pieces in half right side out and press. Set aside. B. Fold the main panel along marked lines. Line bottom line up with top line. Insert the detail pieces with folded edge exposed. Pin in place. Topstitch across the entire detail fold ¼ from the finished edge. Press along the seam.

Place the interfacing on the wrong side of the exterior pieces and fuse according to manufacturer s instructions. D. Match the straps to pin locations on the right side of the main panel. Pin and sew a rectangle 1.25 wide x 2 tall. Set main exterior panel aside. Strap Topstitch external main piece E. Fold under one side 1/4 lengthwise of each top piece and press. Machine baste top panels together along pressed edge. Place wrong side of each top piece onto right side of zipper. Pin and sew. Cut excess zipper off. Wrong side of external top piece Fold under 1/4 and baste top pieces together F. Place side panels on top of top panel right sides together. Sew along the edge. Turn right side up and press seams. top piece top Zipper Stitch 1/8 seam Wrong side of side piece Fold side panels out and press the seams G. Open the zipper. Center the bottom of the side panels right sides together on the main panel marks that indicate the area that makes the bottom of the Topstitch 1/8 seam along curve Step 4. Make the Interior A. Fold under pocket pieces 1/4 and press. Sew along topside. Topstitch the top of the pockets 1/8 from the finished edge. Place pockets on marked locations right side up on the right side of the interior purse. Pin and sew in place. Line up the top and side panel. Topstitch sides and bottom 1/8 from the finished edges. Leave the top unstitched. B. Similar to Step 3E. Fold under one side 1/4 lengthwise of each top piece and press. Topstitch 1/8 seam along the folded edge. Machine baste top panels together along pressed edge. Topstitch 1/8 seam Fold under all edges 1/4 and topstitch 1/8 on top edge Sew 1/8 seam on bottom and both sides C. Similar to Step 3F. Match the side panels with the top panels right sides together. Pin and sew. Turn right side up and press seams. D. Similar to Step 3G without the zipper. Center the bottom of the side panels right sides together on the main panel marks that indicate the area that makes the bottom of the purse. Pin and sew in place. Line up the top and side panel with the main panel right sides

together. Snip the curved edge of the main panel to ease into place onto the top panel. Pin in place and sew. Undo the basting stitches. Turn right side out and press the seams. Step 5. Attach Interior to Exterior A. Turn interior wrong side out. B. Place the interior into the exterior wrong sides together. Wrong side of interior Wrong side of external top piece Fold under 1/4 and baste top pieces together B. Remove basting and open the zipper. Match the raw edges of one top piece with the bottom piece right sides together. Snip relief on top piece to match the curve of the side piece, pin, and sew in place. Repeat to attach second top piece to side. Turn right side out and set aside. Zipper (teeth not drawn) C. With needle and thread, hand stitch the open edge of the top pieces to the underside of the zipper. Do not sew through the exterior. Zipper Right side of exterior Hand stitch 1/8 from edge of interior piece top interior piece MAKE UP BAG (finished size: 6.75 across x 3.5 tall x 1.5 deep ) Step 1. Cut the Fabric Pieces A. Cut out interior and exterior pieces using the patterns for a total of six pieces. B. Cut out lining pieces and trim ¼ allowance on all sides for a total of three pieces. C. Mark all fold and pin locations with a pencil, marker, or chalk. Step 2. Attach Interfacing A. Place the fusible side of the lining on the wrong side of the exterior. Fuse according to manufacturer s instructions. Step 3. Make the Exterior A. Fold under one side of each top piece ¼ and press. Machine baste together along pressed edge. Place wrong side of each top piece onto right side of zipper. Sew in place. Step 4. Make the Interior A. Fold under one side of each top piece ¼ and press. B. Similar to Step 3B. Match the top pieces with the bottom piece right sides together. Pin and sew in place. Leave wrong side out. Step 5. Attach Interior to Exterior A. Place the interior into the exterior wrong sides together. B. With needle and thread, stitch the top pieces to the underside of the zipper. Do not sew through the exterior. Zipper SUNGLASSES CASE (finished size: 6.5 long x 3.75 wide) Step 1. Cut the Fabric Pieces A. Cut out interior and exterior pieces using the patterns for a total of four pieces. B. Cut out lining pieces and trim ¼ allowance on all sides for a total of two pieces. Cut excess zipper Topstitch 1/8 along edges Snip edges to ease fit around the curve Wrong side of interior exterior Hand stitch 1/8 from edge of interior piece top interior piece

Step 2. Attach Velcro A. Place the hook Velcro piece on the right side of the interior flap. Sew in place. Center Velcro 3/4 from top Right side interior top piece B. Place the other Velcro piece on the right side of the exterior. Sew in place. Center Velcro 3/4 from top main panel Step 3. Attach Interfacing A. Place the fusible side of the lining on the wrong side of the exterior. Fuse according to manufacturer s instructions. Step 4. Attach Interior to Exterior A. Match the exterior top flap and bottom piece right side together. Sew with 1/8 seam. main exterior piece Sew 1/8 seam Wrong side of interior top piece B. Similar to Step 4A. Match the interior top flap and bottom pieces right side together. Sew with 1/8 seam. C. Fold open and press the seams flat. main panel Press seam D. Match the interior and exterior pieces right sides together. Sew with 1/8 seam, leaving the bottom open. Turn right side out and press the seams. Leave open. Do not sew Wrong side of Sew 1/8 seam E. Topstitch 1/8 from the bottom finished edge. Topstitch 1/8 seam F. Fold the bottom up with exterior on outside until Velcro locations match. Fold in half along dotted line G. Topstitch 1/8 around the sides and top finished edges. interior Topstitch 1/8 seam
