Park City Prep Charter School Phone (203)953-3766 Fax (203)953-3771 www.parkcityprep.org June 2017 Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians, Happy Summer! Park City Prep s Language Arts teachers are excited to announce the 2017 2018 Summer Reading List. The list includes books on a variety of topics by many favored young adult authors. These books are all available at local bookstores (Barnes & Noble, Borders, etc.), as well as at the local public libraries and online. All students must complete the following: 1. Read TWO of the 20+ books on their grade s reading list. 2. Complete FOUR reading log questions. 2 per book 3. Question responses should be at least 5 sentences and use specific details from the story. Question responses should be in the student s own words. Plagiarism will result in a grade of zero. All required work is included with this reading list. It is mandatory that all Park City Prep students complete this summer reading assignment. These assignments will be collected on the first day of school by the Language Arts teachers. Failure to do this will significantly affect each student s first term English grade. Extra copies will be available throughout the summer at the Park City Prep main office and on our website. Please do not hesitate to contact the school with any questions about the Park City Prep Summer Reading List or contact Vanessa Bertrand at vbertrand@parkcityprep.org Sincerely, Language Arts Teachers Park City Prep Charter School
