2 Overview The GoSpace NanoCo AS2000 is an outdoor antenna used to counicate and track a LEO satellite. It has a ounted dish for S-band and an option to ount a pair of UHF Yagi antennas, 400 or 437. With an aziuth and elevator rotors the antenna has coplete freedo to point in any direction in the upwards 180 doe. A rotor controller is connected through a long cable to the two rotors, which provides a anual control and an interface to a PC. The AS2000 requires assebly upon product arrival. 3 Outdoor Equipent 3.1 Tower and Antenna Four base plates are placed on the ground top provide a stable foundation. A steel pyraid provides the ain tower. At the botto is ounted an aziuth rotor. A shaft goes fro the rotor up through the iddle of the tower and up through the top. At the top of the shaft the elevator rotor is ounted, and on that the cross boo. In the iddle the S-Band dish is ounted, with counter weights. If UHF antennas are chosen, they are ounted on each end of the cross boo, on each side of the dish. The antennas are connected through a LNA and a power splitter prior to a 35 cable with N-Type connectors. The two rotors each have a 35 cable connecting the to the controller box. 4 Indoor Equipent 4.1 Rotor Controller The aziuth and elevator rotor are controlled fro a rotor controller box. Fro the box, the rotors can either be anually steered fro the buttons on the front panel, or fro a PC through a RS232 connection. The rotors are powered through the rotor control box. See the rotor controller anual for further detail. 3

9 Installation Area Although the base of the antenna only takes up a square area of 3.5 x 3.5 and the largest antenna a radius of approx. 2.2 it is advised to place the antenna on a flat circular area approxiately 4 radius. Make sure to reduce the nuber of objects that blocks the field of view to optiize uninterrupted satellite counication tie. Place the antenna as far as possible away fro transitters and other noise sources. The control box ust be placed indoor. 6
10 AS2000 with other GoSpace Products GoSpace offers a coplete ground station syste. The AS100/AS2000 cobined with the radio rack unit NanoCo GS100/GS2000 and the coputer rack unit NanoCo MS100 is everything you need to connect and control your LEO satellite. NanoCo AS100 or AS2000 GoSpace has two rooftop antennas, the AS100 with VHF and UHF and the AS2000 with UHF and S-Band NanoCo GS100 and GS2000 Each of the rooftop antennas has their own 19 rack ounted radio unit that contains two none flight qualified NanoCo AX100 or two TR-600 radio odules, placed on a special carrier board. NanoCo MS100 A 19 rack ounted PC containing software relevant to controlling and counicating with a satellite. The unit has ethernet interface for reote access. Software includes: Linux OS Rotor controller GSweb tools for housekeeping (optional) Tracker software to control antenna oveent Doppler copensation for the radio SDK 7
