Contact: Officer Joseph Nichols Public Information Officer Subject: for Wednesday, December 30, 2015 Sunday, January 3, 2016 Wednesday-December 30, 2015 Domestic/Drugs 300 block of Scott Ave. A 22 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic false imprisonment, domestic battery and domestic strangulation after he was involved in a domestic disturbance while driving in Oshkosh and would not allow the victim to leave the vehicle. He was located in the 300 block of Scott Ave. While he was under arrest for the domestic, the male was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Those two offenses were added to the arrest sheet. He was taken to jail. Domestic 100 block of Cimarron Ct. A 27 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and a probation hold after he was involved in a domestic dispute in the 100 block of Cimarron Ct. He was taken to jail. Thursday, December 31, 2015 Theft Follow-Up 2200 block of Bowen St. A 22 year-old female from Oshkosh had a referral arrest for theft and child neglect sent to the district attorney s office. The follow-up theft investigation showed the female took gift cards from her employer and used the gift cards at local businesses. During one of the card usages, the female left her one-year child in a vehicle while the female went shopping. Child Neglect 500 block of Mt. Vernon St. A 42 year-old male and 33 year-old female, both from Oshkosh, were referred into the district attorney s office for child neglect after a young, female child was found walking in the neighborhood alone wearing no winter clothing. The 42 year-old male and 33 year-old female, Page 1 of 6

who are the child s parents, said they left the child alone at home as she was sleeping and they had to go to work. Social services were contacted and the child was allowed to stay at home. Disturbance 200 block of N. Main St. A 57 year-old male from Oshkosh had a referral arrest sent to the district attorney s office for disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon after he caused a disturbance inside a business in the 200 block of N. Main St. The male was threatening customers and employees with a walking stick. As he was being taken into custody, officers found a hatchet was concealed on the male. He was taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation. Hit and Run Crash/OWI 3 rd Offense W. Murdock Ave. at Olive St. A 34 year-old female from Oshkosh was arrested for 3 rd offense OWI after her vehicle was involved in a one vehicle crash at W. Murdock Ave at Olive St. The female s vehicle left the roadway and struck a fire hydrant. The female left the scene on foot, but was located a short distance away after she walked into a snow bank and fell over. She was taken to a local hospital for a blood draw and created a disturbance. She was taken to jail for disorderly conduct and a 12 hour-hold. She was also cited for hit and run of property adjacent to highway; operating after suspension; failure to have insurance; failure to notify police of crash; failure to register vehicle; and was cited twice for resisting/obstructing an officer after she lied to an officer stating she was not involved in the crash and for resisting an officer while at the hospital. Domestic 3700 block of Glenkirk Ave. A 46 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct after he was involved in a domestic disturbance in the 3700 block of Glenkirk Ave. He was taken to jail. Disturbance 800 block of Frederick St. A 48 year-old female from Oshkosh was arrested for disorderly conduct after she was kicked out of tavern on N. Main St. for causing a disturbance. The female proceeded to cause another disturbance in 800 block of Frederick St. She was taken to jail. OWI 1 st Offense Absolute Sobriety Ohio St. at W. 5 th Ave. A 20 year-old male from Appleton, WI was arrested for OWI-absolute sobriety after his vehicle was observed driving the wrong way on Algoma Blvd. He was taken to jail on a 12 hour-hold. Domestic 700 block of Franklin St. A 28 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct after he was involved in a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Franklin St. He was taken to jail. OWI 1 st Offense Absolute Sobriety - W. 8 th Ave. and Knapp St. A 19 year-old male was arrested for OWI absolute sobriety, resisting an officer and disorderly conduct after it was reported to police that a vehicle was stuck in a snow bank in the 800 block of W. 8 th Ave. The vehicle was gone on police arrival, but was located in the 900 block of W. 8 th Ave. in the roadway. The 19 year-old male first admitted he wasn t driving, but then changed his story to he was driving. The male caused a disturbance as officers were investigating. As the 19 year-old male was being arrested for absolute sobriety and disorderly conduct, he resisted arrest. He was taken to jail. OWI 3 rd Offense Algoma Blvd. at Wisconsin St. A 35 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for 3 rd offense OWI after his vehicle was stopped for failing to stop at a flashing red light. He was taken to jail on a probation hold. OWI 1 st Offense/Possession of Cocaine Witzel Ave. at Eagle St. A 39 year-old male from Winneconne, WI was arrested for 1 st offense OWI, possession of cocaine and a probation hold after his vehicle was located stuck in a snow bank at Witzel Ave. at Eagle St. He was taken to jail. Friday, January 1, 2016 Burglary 400 block of N. Koeller St. A burglary was reported in the 400 block of N. Koeller St. Smoking products were taken. The investigation continues. Page 3 of 6

Disturbance 500 block of Jackson St. A 22 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct after he was involved in a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of Jackson St. The 22 year-old male left the residence after threatening a female with a sword, but was located in a vehicle in the 500 block of S. Oakwood Rd. After he was arrested, officers found two swords and two BB guns inside the vehicle. He was taken to jail. Disturbance Follow Up 200 block of Wisconsin St. A 21 year-old male from Omro, WI was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery by Omro Police after he was involved in an altercation in the 200 block of Wisconsin St. the previous night. He was transferred to Oshkosh Police and taken to jail. OWI 3 rd Offense 1600 block of Bowen St. A 4 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for 3 rd offense OWI after he was observed exiting his vehicle in the 1600 block of Bowen St. intoxicated. He was taken to Aurora for a blood draw and released to a responsible adult. He was also issued citations for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and open intoxicants in vehicle. Saturday, January 2, 2016 Damage 1100 block of Michigan Ave. A damage complaint was taken in the 1100 block of Michigan Ave. after someone spray painted an obscenity on the side of a house. The investigation continues. Weapon Scott Ave. and Frederick St. A 36 year-old male from Omro, WI was arrested for recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct after he displayed a gun to a subject at Scott Ave. and Frederick St. in Oshkosh. The 36 year-old male was located in Omro, WI and allowed Omro Police, Winnebago County Sheriff s and Oshkosh Police to search his vehicle and room in Omro. As officers were Page 4 of 6

checking the exterior of premises, a black and silver pellet gun was located in the snow. He was taken to jail. Domestic 200 block of Division St. A 45 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for domestic battery after he was involved in a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Division St. He was taken to jail. Domestic 1700 block of Iowa St. A 59 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and false imprisonment after he was involved in a domestic disturbance in the 1700 block of Iowa St. He was also placed on a probation hold. He was taken to jail. Domestic 800 block of Freedom Ave. A 35 year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct after he was involved in a domestic disturbance in the 800 block of Freedom Ave. He was taken to jail. Armed Robbery/Arrest 2400 block of N. Washburn St. An armed robbery occurred at the Kwik Trip in the 2400 block of N. Washburn St. Oshkosh Police located the suspect vehicle at Bowen St. and Mallard Ave. A 45 year-old male from Ripon, WI was arrested and taken to jail. The 45 year-old was also arrested for bail jumping and a probation hold. A 39 year-old male passenger from Fond du Lac, WI was arrested for a probation hold and obstructing an officer after he gave a false name. He was taken to jail. Sunday, January 3, 2015 Domestic 900 block of E. Lincoln Ave. A 31 year-old female from Oshkosh was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic battery after she was involved in a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of E Lincoln Ave. She was taken to jail. Oakwood Ave. A 31 year-old female from Winneconne, WI was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct after she was brought to Mercy Hospital by Winneconne Police for a mental evaluation and caused a disturbance where she struck a security guard in the face.
