Undercver Cnvenience Zipping a Full-length Slip Set a lightweight zipper int the slashed center frnt f a slip. This methd is very suitable fr knit slips. Use a sft, flexible nyln r plyester cil zipper which is at least 20 inches lng. f) Sew the zipper in with a very small seam s that it is expsed. Then the slip will nt be made smaller in size. Add a fabric facing (can use wide twill tape) underneath the zipper t prtect the skin. Make a thread chain lp at the zipper pull tab t make it easier t grasp. Add anther thread chain (abut 1112 t 2 inches lng) dwn alng side the bttm f the zipper. The wearer can slip several fingers int the lp t hld dwn the fabric fr easier zipping. Slip Straps Slips with built up straps are ften mre cmfrtable t wear because they dn't bind r slip ff the shulders as easily. Narrw straps can be made mre cmfrtable by sewing them n t a wider ribbn r tape.

T-shirt Tricks All cttn r cttn blend T-shirts are mre absrbent and cmfrtable t wear. When altering T-shirts, launder the shirts and all ther materials such as braids, tapes, zippers, etc. that will be used befre fixing them. This will prevent differences in shrinking when the T-shirt is washed regularly. Open shulder seams will make it easier t slip T-shirts ver the head. Pl shirts with raglan sleeves can be fixed the same way. Open up the shulder seams, being careful nt t stretch the edges f the pen seams. (Stitching alng each side f the seam befre pening it up will prevent stretching.) f) Bind the seam edges with twill tape (1 inch wide) s that the edges will verlap. Cut narrw strips f hk and lp pressure tape and sew nt the bund edges. A separating zipper can be used t cmpletely pen up a slip ver T-shirt. Use an pen-end zipper abut 22 inches lng, depending n the size f the T-shirt. The zipper shuld end at the waistline s that the remaining shirt can be tucked int pants. Cut pen the T-shirt, beginning at the neckline rib seam and cntinuing at a slight slant, dwn thrugh the bttm f the shirt. Stitch the zipper int the pening, beginning the zipper at the neck. Turn under the remaining edges and edge stitch. Sew a strip f wide twill tape underneath the zipper t prtect the skin. e --...J. e --...J. e--...j e--...j. e--..j. e--...j. e--...j. e--..-i. e--"..j. e--"..j.e--""".j.e~ ~.e--"""'-.~.e--"""'-.~.e--"""'-.~.e--"":/.~.e--"":/.~ --"":/.~.--...;/.-'.--..:;,I.-,.--..:;,I.-,.--..:;,I.-,...,;;I.,.
