It includes all detection electronics associated to 2 lines of 6 CCD detectors: One line of 6 CCD TDI detectors of 6000 pixels each One line of 6 CCD multispectral detectors (4 bands) VEU interfaces directly with the focal plane on one side. On the other side, interfaces are power supply, TM/TC and Mass memory / compressor. VEU can be mounted directly on the rear side of the focal plane, with very short connections to CCDs. VEU unit is constituted of 11 boards: 6 panchromatic detection electronic boards. One per detector 1 board for configuring and synchronizing the 6 panchromatic detection electronic boards 3 multispectral detection electronic boards. One for two detectors 1 board for configuring and synchronizing the 3 multispectral detection electronic boards A VEU unit includes 366 full-custom analog/mixed ASICs, 106 digital ASICs and 108 hybrids.
