Quilt 1 - Halloween Small Quilt or Wall Hanging. Framed Halloween panel in blacks, oranges, greens, and purples. Machine pieced and quilted by Sue Foster. This 52"x 68" Small Quilt or wall hanging is just in time for the holidays. It has a matching pillowcase! Quilt 2 - Monkey Floor Baby Quilt. Cuddly denim, cotton and flannel quilt in green, denim blue, and brown. Your baby will love to play on it with its fun monkey design. It is heavy and not meant for crib use. It is 38"x50". Machine pieced and tied by Janet Gardner in memory of the Engles Family.
Quilt 3 Amish Wildlife Panel King. Dorothy and Francis Weinheimer donated this Amish Wildlife Panel Quilt. It was done with strip pieced blocks to go along with the panel and is done in shades of blue, white, and brown. It was machine pieced and quilted by Marilyn Troyer. It is 94" x 102" King Size. It was donated in memory of Frank and Annie Brady, and Franz and Emma Weinheimer. Quilt 4 Patchwork Moda Sampler Flying Geese Throw. This Patchwork moda Sampler Block was machine pieced and hand appliqued in memory of Julia Redman. Mary quilted it with meandering feathers. The first border is made with flying geese. This is a 58" x 66" Throw.
Quilt 5 Fall Sunflower King. This King Size Quilt was inspired by a picture Barb Berg saw on facebook. She machine pieced this fall-colored quilt with metallic sunflower fabric and with other fall colors from her stash; also using gold metallic in the border. Her sister-in-law, Kristine Berg, added the beautiful sunflower quilting design. Quilt 6 -Hidden Star 25"x25" Wooden Barn Quilt. Barn quilts started in the mid-west with quilters making wood painted copies of traditional quilt blocks to hang on their barns. Now barn quilts are hung by many quilters and non-quilters on barns, garages, sheds, and fences all over the U.S. Julie Rooney, the creator of this beautiful block, stated, "In Hospice, hope might be hidden or hard to see, but it will come shining through eventually."
Quilt 7 - "Diamond Double" Queen. The "Diamond Double" (82" x 94") Queen Size quilt is made from 2-1/2 inch scrap batik strips, in shades of blue, purple, and pink. Machine pieced and quilted by Marian Huseby. Quilt 8 - Christmas Wall Hanging. Caryl Spenny, a former Lewistown resident, taught classes here and in Arizona. Her 43" x 43" Christmas wall hanging, "Ripples," is from the book, Magic Stack & Whack by Bethany Reynolds. She used metallic Christmas fabric to piece and quilt on her home sewing machine. She made a hanging sleeve and the binding is two-toned to match the front and back. If possible, check the beautiful quilting on the back.
Quilt 9 - "Beautiful Star" King. This 102" x 102" quilt is an adapted lone star pattern machine pieced by Cindy Berg and machine quilted by Kristine Berg. The beautiful batik fabrics creating the stars are highlighted by a gold gilded asian print border and star centers in purples, and shades of blues, pinks, and aquas. Quilt 10 - Birdhouse Collaboration Wall Hanging. This 60" x 62" wall hanging is a work of art pieced by many community quilters. The original birdhouse blocks were purchased by Carol Swanz at the Vance and Joyce Sheppard estate sale. Joyce has won the blocks in a "Quilted Heart Quilt Store" drawing years ago as part of the block of the month. Tammy Eckhardt of "Sew Pieceful" organized the completion of this colorful wall hanging. Each block is uniquely embellished.
Quilt 11 - Holy Cow Wall Hanging. This 45" x 57 1/2" wall hanging was adapted by Teresa Otto from an artwork by her sister, who had also adapted her artwork from a magazine picture. The cow's head is an appliqued collage arrangement in multiple bright colors, surrounded by many of your favorite cow sayings in the machine quilting. Quilt 12 - Fall Throw. This quilt throw in fall leaf colors highlighted with purple will keep you warm with its suede cloth backing. The machine quilting is done in varigated thread in a leaf motif to complement the quilt design. Andra Stone machine pieced this "Mystery Quilts" pattern by Judy Hopkins, and Judy Fraser machine quilted this 45" x 58" throw.
Quilt 13 - Starry Nights of Hope Queen. Jill Owens pieced "The Parisian" pattern in yellows, white, black, and gray in fabric donated by her sister. The 90" x 106" Queen Size Quilt was quilted by Debbie Manuel of Winifred. Quilt 14 - Passin' Through Cowboy Western Full. The multi-colored 79" x 91" Full size quilt with a cowboy western theme, was machine pieced and quilted by Marian Huseby.
Quilt 15 - Amish "Royal Star of Washington" King. Laura Weaver and the Moore Amish Church made this 94" x 106" queen spread or king comforter, "Royal Star of Washington" is machine pieced and hand quilted in shades of pink and black. Quilt 16 - Ladies' Hats Wall Hanging. The 39"x45" wall hanging was given in memory of Barbara Knox by her loving husband, Don. She was a collector of ladies hats. It is hand appliqued and each hat is embellished individually with coordinating trim.
Quilt 17 Yellow and Blue Floral Irish Chain Full or Queen. The backing is in opposite colors in the same floral design. This 81 ½ x 100 large full or small queen size quilt was pieced and beautifully machine quilted by Debbie Manuel.
