HelpCard EYFS Profile This HelpCard is about using the EYFS Profile The EYFS Profile can be used to record a child s attainment through the EYFS Profile. It can continue to be used as a record from Nursery 1 until the end of Year 2 so there is a more continuous learning journey. You can access the EYFS Profile through the EYFS Menu Click on any of the Assessment Scales. Alternatively, use the drop down menu to explore individual profile summaries. Class EYFS Profile Record Exploring by ASSESSMENT SCALE will take you to the class entry grid. Here you can see a whole class or group at one glance. The month and pupil s year group is chosen automatically (shown in a red box, right). Choose different months / years for historic recording. A box containing the text DM + EYFS denotes that this descriptor is matched up with a corresponding Development Matters descriptor and so fills in the Development Matters grid too.
Try hovering over the descriptors at the top of each column to see a more detailed description and the Scale Point in child speak. Individual EYFS Profile Record Access each child s EYFS Profile record by choosing their name from the EYFS Menu (shown below). Try hovering over each scale point to see a more detailed description and the Scale Point in child speak. Each time you enter or amend data in the EYFS Profile, School PUPIL TRACKER will update each aspect total at the side of each row. Some blank scale points in the Individual EYFS Profile record are green (example shown to the right) these are significant scale points. A child not achieving a significant scale point on entry to Year 1 may require additional communication and language support.
QuickClick : How to make and change your judgements Recording and updating judgements in School PUPIL TRACKER Online is quick and easy with our QuickClick system. Simply hover* your mouse cursor over the required box on the APP grid and you will see a set of buttons appear in the judgement box (shown on the right). Each of these buttons corresponds to either Blank(delete), Working Toward, Mostly Achieved or Achieved. You can click on any of these buttons in any order you are not fixed to clicking through from W to M to A you click on A straight away of you wish. The can be used to add comments and upload evidence (see later in this HelpCard for instructions to do this). Simply clicking on, for example, will assign a judgement of Achieved to this box the child s year group and the current month will be automatically calculated. The colour of the Achieved box depends on the year group of the child oranges for Nursery, blues for Reception and greens for Years 1 and 2. You can review and change judgements at any time, for example clicking for Mostly Achieved, then clicking a few weeks later when they have achieved this scale point. * - If you are using an ipad, please see the ipad HelpCard at www.spto.co.uk/documents/ipad.pdf Type of Record What it means / how to use it Blank The child has not achieved any part of this aspect. You will see this in action after you have made a change to a box - immediately and the change will be saved straight away! will appear in the box If the continues for a long time, please try re-entering your judgement again. You can tell that your change has saved successfully when the no longer appears. Completing lots of records at once Use the W, M, A and blank boxes at the top of each column to flood fill the column with your choice.
