A pure, straightforward graphic quality - part of the company s philosophy has been the source of inspiration for the project. With no daring pursuit at any cost, this modular system mixing upholstered and rigid elements, can be incorporated into any setting, from home to community areas. The collection is made up of eight elements that together with three complementary coffee tables allows endless solutions to be developed in accordance to the free, creative interpretation of the customer. Simple and fl exible, spontaneous and timeless, dynamic and continuously evolving, system is fully able to change its form to meet the needs, moods and demands of each moment. The graphic approach that inspired the project has resulted in the special contrasting stitching on the edges which underscores the proportions and the visual link among the various elements. The folding backrest built into the module ensures a comfortable and space-saving seating. Sectionals: upholstered elements and coffee table modules All sectionals can be used individually or grouped together, as no exclusively end or intermediate elements are necessary; each sectional, indeed, can be used with simplicity and creativity to compose the sofa. The special and easy coupling device system enables unlimited layouts to be fi gured out, from compact to linear or corner compositions, large islands, chaise longues and many others. Coffee table modules can be added to create both decorative interruptions and useful service elements. Cushions The system is completed by a wide range of cushions: backrest cushions made of polyurethane foam and down, available in size 40x75cm and 40x100cm (edge strip: 7cm). armrest cushions made of polyurethane foam and down, available in size 25x75cm and 25x100cm (edge strip: 10cm). additional cushions made of down, available in size 50x50cm and 60x60cm (edge strip: 7cm). For a full seat comfort, an upholstered sectional must be matched with a backrest cushion (40x75cm or 40x100cm). The armrest cushion (25x75, 25x100cm) can be used with the sectionals with no armrest or backrest, as well as with coffee table modules. Besides being a decorative element, they can compensate the lack of a structural armrest. The 10cm large edge strip matches the graphic proportion between the seat cushion and the folding element. To complete the look of the sofa and add extra comfort, additional cushions (50x50cm and 60x60cm) can be included as smooth, stylistically decorative elements. Structure Upholstered sectionals: the supporting structure is made of solid wood and plywood with a base equipped with elastic belts and concealed feet. The fi lling is in variable density polyurethane foam, and the cover in polyester padding (with down in the seat cushions). All backrest elements are equipped with a special folding system, enabling the height of the backrest to be adjusted, which subsequently modifi es the seat depth. In this way the system can meet any needs and comfort requirements. Coffee table modules: made of a loadbearing structural MD- fi breboard panel and aluminium in thickness 15mm, in matt white or black Fenix. Legs are made of cast aluminium with section 15x15mm, powder-coated in matt white or graphite. Available dims: 98.5x98.5cm, 49.2x98.5cm and 24.5x98.5cm, height 40cm. For Fenix technical specs, see page 1.69. Cover The contrasting graphic stitching that distinguishes and identifi es the collection is the mark on all the upholstered sectionals and the cushions. Available in white, medium grey and anthracite, the stitching can be freely selected by the customer. The fabric or leather covering every part of the sofa is manufactured to enhance the softness of the sofa. In addition, the covers are completely removable. Upon discretion of MDF Italia, all leather elements can have one or more stitched seams, depending on their size. An extra cover can be purchased for both the upholstered sectionals and the cushions. FENIX NTM for low table MATERIALS Fenix NTM is a newly-conceived material produced through thermo-lamination, the simultaneous application of heat (about 150 C) and specifi c high pressure (>7MPa): these factors allow to obtain, as end result, a homogeneous, non porous and high-density product. The core structure of FENIX NTM is composed of kraft paper impregnated with thermosetting resin. The external surface features a decorative paper obtained through new generation resins, capable of obtaining a high level of opacity. A property highlighted by the NTM Acronym: NanoTechMatt, i.e. matt effect enabled by nanotechnology. This special surface treatment makes sure the material has a high resistance to scratch and heat, soft touch, low light refl ectivity, thermal healing of micro-scratches, enhanced anti-bacterial property, mould-resistant, hydro-releathernt, high resistance to stains, acid solvents and household reagents, antistatic.
