inter Flowers FLOER BLOK ASSEMBLY onstructing Flower Top 1. Flying Geese Units: Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of (1) D 2-1/2 square. Place D square, right sides together, on left corner of (1) 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 rectangle. Sew on drawn line. Trim 1/4 away from sew line, as shown in diagram. Open and press D corner triangle. Repeat step for right hand corner to complete flying geese unit. Trim to 2-1/2 x 4-1/2. Make (8) D units. 1b. Flower Top: Sew (2) D units together, trim to 2-1/2 x 8-1/2, as shown in diagram. Repeat step for right side, ensuring it is on the opposite and parallel corner. Refer to diagram for proper placement of square. A note proper placement of A fabric, to get mirror-image version A open and press make 8 of each Repeat previous steps above to assemble remaining parallelogram units, as shown in diagrams below. Refer to Quilt Diagram for proper placement of flower units. 10. Sew 1 white (2 x 37 ) sashing strip to bottom of Rows 1-3. Then sew Row 1 to Row 2 and so forth. BORDER ASSEMBLY 9. Border: Sew (1) 2-1/2 x 53 strip to long sides of quilt top. Then sew (1) 2-1/2 x 49 strip to top and to bottom of quilt top. QUILT DIAGRAM 11. TV Border: Sew together via long edge (1) T and (1) V jelly roll strip. Subcut into (14) S U 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 rectangles sets as shown in diagram. Outer Border: Sew (1) 2-1/2 x 61 strip to long sides of quilt top and 1 2-1/2 x 49 strip to top and to bottom of quilt top. Finish: ith the backing fabric laying taut, place batting and then quilt top to form quilt sandwich. Baste sandwich and quilt as desired. Bind to finish.
