INTRODUCTION Learn how to make an elegant pendant with the Blue Ocean Pendant Tutorial. Play with different sizes and colors of beads, you can come up with your own variation. Making the pendant requires knowledge in right angle weave and free-form beading techniques. The tutorial is catered for intermediate to advance students, but anyone who loves to explore advance beading techniques can definitely try it. It has in-depth instructions and ultra-clear, close-up photos at each step. Additionally, you can ask me question you have on the tutorial. No more getting stuck and frustrated on a confusing or just plain inaccurate pattern. Tools Needed Scissors Flat nose or chain nose pliersstep by Step Instructions STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS Step 1: Slide in 3mm bicones Light Sapphire Blue, Capri Blue Swarovski and Light Sapphire Blue.

Step 2: On your right thread slide in a round pearl. Then cross the left thread into the round pearl.

Pull the thread. Step 3: Slide in 1 seed bead on each thread.

Step 4: Pass both threads into a flat spacer. Step 5: Bring up the Marquise Brilliant.

As you can see it has 2 holes at the sides. Pass each thread into each hole like so.

Step 6: Then pass both threads into a flat spacer. Step 7: Slide in 1 seed bead on each thread.

Step 8: Then cross both threads into a round pearl. Step 9: On your right thread slide in 3mm bicones Light Sapphire Blue, Capri Blue and Light Sapphire Blue then pass the thread back thru the round pearl.

Pulling the thread this is how it should look like. Step 10: Slide in 1 seed bead on each thread.

Then pass both threads into 4mm Purple Velvet Swarovski Bicone Crystals. Step 11: Then pass the thread back thru the flat spacer, Marquise Brilliant and going out the opposite flat spacer on the other side.

Step 12: Slide in another 4mm Purple Velvet Swarovski Bicone Crystals Step 13: Slide in 1 seed bead on each thread.

Step 14: Then cross both threads into the round pearl. Pull the thread. Step 15: On your right thread (RT) slide in 1 seed bead, 1 6mm Light Sapphire Blue Swarovski Bicone Crystals and 1 seed bead.

Step 16: Then pass the thread back thru the Marquise Brilliant's hole shown in arrow. Step 17: Pull the thread out into the opposite side.

Step 18: Take the other thread coming out of the round pearl. Repeat Step 15 by sliding in 1 seed bead, 1 6mm Light Sapphire Blue Swarovski Bicone Crystal and 1 seed bead. Step 19: Then pass the thread again back thru the 4mm round green pearl's hole shown in arrow.

Step 20: This is how it should like. Secure the thread by making knots and passing back thru several beads. Cut of excess thread. Do the same for the other side. Side in 1 seed bead, 1 6mm Light Sapphire Blue Swarovski Bicone Crystals and 1 seed bead.

Then pass the thread back thru the Marquise Brilliant's hole, coming out on the other side. Step 21: Take the other thread from the round pearl. Side in 1 seed bead, 1 6mm Light Sapphire Blue Swarovski Bicone Crystals and 1 seed bead.

Pass the thread into the Marquise Brilliant and come out the opposite hole. Each thread should now come out where the arrows are. Step 22: Continue by sliding in 1 6mm Dark Indigo Swarovski Bicone Crystals and 1 seed bead on each thread.

Step 23: Cross the threads into a 4mm Dark Indigo Swarovski Bicone Crystal. Step 24: Turnaround the piece and pass the threads till it reaches the other end and coming out of a 6mm Light Sapphire Blue Swarovski Bicone Crystals.

Step 25: Slide in 1 6mm Dark Indigo Swarovski Bicone Crystals on each thread. Step 26: Cross both threads into a seed bead.

Step 27: Bring up the crystal sew on rhinestone crystal. Pass the right thread (RT) into the sew on rhinestone crystal.

Step 28: Then cross the left thread (LT) and pull the thread. Step 29: Slide in 1 seed bead on each thread.

Step 30: Bring up the Swarovski 6001 Tear Drop Bead and pass both threads. Step 31: Slide in 1 seed bead on each thread.

Step 32: Then pass the thread back thru the sew on rhinestone crystal. Secure the threads by passing back thru several beads and then make a knot. Pass the thread back thru several beads again and make a final knot. Cut off excess thread. Now you're done with the Blue Ocean Pendant

Step 32: Creating the necklace Cut a good amount of thread that you can comfortably handle and slide in a crimp bead. Let the crimp bead freely slide to the center of the string wire. Pass both threads into a calotte until it reach the crimp bead.

With flat nose pliers press the crimp bead and close the calotte.

Step 33: We'll start on the left side of the necklace. String seed beads and bicones in the following order: Left thread: seed bead, 4mm Light Sapphire Blue Swarovski Bicone Crystals, seed bead Right thread: seed bead, 4mm Capri Blue Swarovski Bicone Crystals, seed bead. Note: At this point you can choose the order of beads to string.

Then pass both threads into a 4mm Light Sapphire Blue Swarovski Bicone Crystal. Repeat this pattern several times or until you reach your desired length for the left side of the necklace.

When you reach the desired length, pass the threads into the 4mm Dark Indigo Swarovski Bicone Crystal from the Blue Ocean Beaded Pendant and repeat the same pattern how you string the bicones and seed beads on the left side of the necklace to complete the full length of the necklace. Step 34: Attaching the clasp Pass both threads into a calotte, followed by a crimp bead.

Step 35: Press the crimp with a flat nose pliers. Cut off excess thread and make a knot like so.

Cover the knot with the calotte.

Attach a jump ring followed by a lobster claw. On the other side attach a jump ring.
