Operating Instruction Manual TopLift Pros Make certain you are on level ground (CAN HAVE INCLINE OR DECLINE) with smooth surface prior to top removal. Need T40 Torx Bit. Unfasten and Remove two front roof top Freedom Panels. Unscrew (2) bolts located each side of top, between front and rear seating fastening top over speaker bar area. Swing open cargo door, lift cargo rear glass ajar completely. Unscrew (6) Torx bolts fastening hardtop in cargo area (3) on each side. Detach Electrical connection to hardtop driver side gate rear before removing top. Move into place TopLift pro by rolling lower unit between wheels of vehicle and upper assembly entering cargo area centered in place. (Be sure to lower upper assembly to clear opening to cargo area). If needed, measure or review LIFT CHART for appropriate placement of pins and holes detail. At two points, each side driver and passenger, LIFT top slightly to loosen hardtop from vehicles main body. Gently press downward upon Handle leveraging upper assembly into place onto bottom or underside of hardtop. Now apply pressure to handle downward to lift hardtop from body (Click & Gear will operate). Do Not engage lever on Handle that operates Click to Gear. Lift enough to clear alignment tabs (black plastic pins under top base) that insert into body of vehicle. Lift enough to clear rear gate when rolling backwards and away from vehicle clearing Spare Tire. NOTE: On 2 Door models, Support Rails Do Not need the extension piece. Be sure that Click is engaged to Gear prior to moving. And double check that you have disconnected wiring harness from hardtop. You ll know by the way it feels like an Anchor if you didn t J You may now gently pull backward upon handle or if you prefer vertical upright legs. Keep in mind to roll off slight angle to clear spare tire and just be sure to watch all areas including roll bar. Roll back away from vehicle. 4 DOOR - Insert (2) Support Rails with Extension pieces. Snap pins into holes through support rails each side prior to moving hardtop about, lowering or raising. You may lower hardtop if necessary by firmly pushing downward upon handle and disengaging click to gear by LEVER located on handle assembly. DO NOT LET DROP Release lever at desired height and ensure that click is engaged to gear. You may raise hardtop to desired height simply pressing downward upon handle only and not touching lever engaging click/gear. This is best suited when you have rolled into very close proximity where you wish to raise for clearance purposes (garage for example) to park your vehicle. PLACE FREEDOM PANELS ON HARDTOP FOR DO NOT MOVE HARDTOP MOUNTED UPON TopLift Pro IN RAISED POSITION, LOWER TO MOVE INTO DESIRED LOCATION. Store Freedom Panels upside down on a clothe or barrier on main hardtop. Then raise. DO NOT MOVE BY PUSHING FROM FRONT OR SIDES. Only from rear Handle area or Upper Assembly main legs. I have found that is best to pull gradually making certain that any bumps along the way are detoured. DO NOT PUSH ON HARD TOP ITSELF for this is an unsafe force of action.
