Using TM-2, a prjected L 70 value can be n greater than six times the actual test duratin f the LM-80 data sets. The TM-2 prjectins represent the anticipated lumen maintenance f the LEDs and des nt accunt fr reliability f all f the ther cmpnents f the luminaire r f the luminaire as a system. Cree, currently has published 6048 hurs f LM-80 n the XLamp ML-B White where If = 80mA and Tsp = 85 C. When using the TM-2 methd t determine lumen maintenance f the ML-B based n a measured Tsp f 40 C, the reprted L70 is 36,300 hurs. This prjectin is limited by the 6X rule as defi ned in TM-2. This methd als allws lumen maintenance fr ther L-values t be calculated.
