Dr. Ruediger Theiselmann Head of CF Corporate Center Commerzbank Ruediger Theiselmann is Head of Corporate Center within Commerzbank s Corporate Finance Division and hence responsible for Business Development, Marketing/ Communications, Strategic Partnerships and Policies & Principles. In parallel, Ruediger is a lecturer at the University of Cologne and co-founded the Corporate Finance Association (Corpfina). Ruediger started his career at Deutsche Bank and served as an Executive Assistant to the Board of Managing Directors at Commerzbank. Dr. Christoph Thierolf Head of M&A Advisory Commerzbank Dr. Christoph Thierolf is heading the Commerzbank M&A Advisory team as Managing Director. Before joining Commerzbank in 2008, he was working for Fresenius SE, Corporate Finance Partners and Procter & Gamble. Christoph studied medicine and business administration at the Universities of Frankfurt and Hagen, Germany as well as at the London Business School, United Kingdom.

Martin Rock Director, M&A Advisory Commerzbank Martin Rock is a Director within Commerzbank M&A Advisory based in London. He is currently responsible for the coverage of the Chemical and Related Industries sector. Prior to joining Commerzbank in 2005, Martin worked for Saudi Arabian Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) in Corporate Finance & Development/M&A based in continental Europe. He previously worked for JP Morgan Chase in M&A and with Nexant, a management consultancy. Martin holds a Ph.D from the University of Cambridge and a B.Sc from the University of Salford. Martin Broda General Manager Beijing Branch Commerzbank Martin Broda is heading Commerzbanks s Bejing Branch since July 2013. After studying economics he started his career in German Corporate Banking in 1994. This later led him into Syndicated Lending as well as Corporate Finance. He headed the Corporate Valuation practice of KPMG in Luxembourg for nearly 7 years where he also gained extensive experience in M&A as well as Transaction Services. Subsequent to this he took another step into the Mezzanine/Private Equity arena before joining Commerzbank in 2006 where he was initially responsible for the Bank s Financial Engineering activities in Bavaria focussing on tailor-made Structured Finance solutions and Financial Advice for a demanding corporate client base.

Dr. Jenna Wang-Metzner Partner, Lawyer Beiten Burkhardt Dr. Jenna Wang-Metzner is Partner at Beiten Burkhardt s Beijing office and member of the Corporate practice group. Her area of expertise comprises China outbound investments to Europe, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance as well as construction law. She advises especially European and Chinese clients from the energy, technology and automotive industries and advises Chinese companies on M&A-transactions in Europe and listings on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Jenna has been working with Beiten Burkhardt for over 10 years. Dr. Christian von Wistinghausen, LL.M. Partner, Lawyer Beiten Burkhardt Dr. Christian von Wistinghausen is Partner at Beiten Burkhardt s Berlin office and member of the Mergers & Acquisitions practice group. His area of expertise comprises mergers and acquisitions, private equity and alternative investments. He particularly advises his national and international clients on cross-border M&A-transactions and joint ventures with a special focus on foreign direct investment into Germany. Christopher Tan Sector Trends PwC Christopher is a partner in the PwC Beijing office. He has spent 8 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong and Beijing before he worked for HSBC Private Equity for 2 years and Tom Group, a HK-listed media Group, for 5 years. He rejoined PwC Beijing office in June 2005. Since he rejoins the firm, he undertaken numerous projects including fund raising through private placement, domestic acquisitions and disposals, and cross border acquisitions. He is currently heading a corporate finance team in Beijing covering transactions in Northern China. Kevin Wang International Tax Director, China PwC Kevin Wang is a director based in Beijing office. His service areas include tax compliance, tax advisory, tax due diligence and tax audit. Kevin is specialised in advising Chinese clients in relation to their outbound investment. He has extensive experiences in tax due diligence, design of acquisition structures and assistance with financial modeling and deal negotiations. Kevin is a graduate of Peking University, and also a Master graduate of Melbourne University. He is a member of China CPA.

Knut Engelmann Partner, CNC - Communications & Network Consulting Knut Engelmann is a Partner at CNC and heads the company s Frankfurt office. He advises clients on capital markets, financial and crisis communications as well as in the field of digital media, with a particular focus on cross-border mandates. Knut Engelmann has a broad network of top-level contacts in the international media scene, within companies and in the political sphere. Prior to joining CNC, he spent more than 20 years in high-profile positions in international finance and business journalism, most recently as founding editor of the digital Germanlanguage edition of the Wall Street Journal and head of Dow Jones Newswires in Germany. Prior to that, Knut Engelmann worked for 16 years in various leadership positions at Reuters, most recently as Wall Street Editor and Global Company News Editor in New York, and, previously, Managing Editor for the German-speaking region. He started his journalistic career in 1994 at Bloomberg. Knut Engelmann holds Economics degrees from the University of London and New York University. Qun Huang Qun Huang Partner, Taylor Wessing Corporate / China Group Qun Huang is one of the few Chinese who has passed both German legal state examinations and practices as an attorney in Germany. Since 1999, he has worked as a corporate lawyer and has successfully advised Chinese companies in a series of M&A and IPO projects. Furthermore, he provides long term legal advice to Chinese companies in Germany, particularly regarding business contracts, financing, claim management, labour, immigration, intellectual property and real estate. Qun Huang, a native Chinese speaker, is fluent in German and English. He is member of the international Bar Association.

Markus Hempel China Representative - Investment Promotion Germany Trade & Invest Mr. Markus Hempel is the China Representative - Investment Promotion for Germany Trade & Invest, the foreign trade and inward investment agency of the Federal Republic of Germany, advising Chinese companies that are planning to set up business in Germany. He has worked in this role before at the GTAI Headquarters in Berlin as Senior Manager for projects in Mechanical & Electronic technologies. Prior to joining Germany Trade and Invest, he gained work experience in several European countries: He started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Paris as a consultant and auditor where he was engaged in various client projects in France, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. He later worked with his own consulting firm as a business development consultant and representative for foreign companies in Germany and France. Markus Hempel holds degrees in Economics with specialization in Information Systems, Business Administration with emphasis on Law, and in International Trade and Finance that the obtained during his studies at universities in Germany, France and the US. Markus Hempel is also the author of a book on the legal liability of Management and the implications of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Dr. Sebastian Daub LL.M Partner, Corporate/M&A Linklaters Sebastian is a partner in our Frankfurt office and heads the China Desk in Germany. He has specialised experience in M&A, private equity and joint ventures as well as corporate law. Recent transactions include advising: a Chinese mobile network operator in respect of European acquisitions; financial investors, including Asian sovereign funds, on a potential participation in an offshore grid connection; Public Sector Pension Investment Board (Canada) on the acquisition of HOCHTIEF AirPort GmbH; Moser Baer Clean Energy on several projects on the development, purchase and disposal of solar power plants; RWE on several power plant projects (solar and conventional) in Germany and abroad; Macquarie on the acquisition of the gas transmission grid (Thyssengas) from RWE; Novator Group and the company on the restructuring of Actavis Group; Kaz Inc. on the acquisition of the healthcare and wellness business from P&G and Braun as well as on the restructuring of their European operations; Equity Partners and management in relation to the carve-out and acquisition of Nokia s Linefit Automotive Business through novero GmbH; The Royal Bank of Scotland on its disposal of Angel Trains Group to a Babcock & Brown fund led consortium and Metage Capital on its engagement in the acquisition of Schumag AG with subsequent takeover offer and foreclosure of its security interests.

Richard Gu Senior Consultant, Corporate, Shanghai Linklaters Richard specialises in China-related M&A, both inbound and outbound, as well as private equity work, having acted on a number of significant China-related M&A deals in recent years. Richard s outbound China M&A experience includes acting for Shandong Iron & Steel on its proposed investment in African Minerals Ltd s Tonkolli iron ore project in Sierra Leone. He has also advised SAIC Motor Corporation in its 1% stake in the General Motors (GM) on its initial public offering and on its establishment of a joint venture with GM in India; and advised Volvo Construction Equipment on its acquisition of Shandong Lingong Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. Richard is a qualified lawyer, certified public accountant and certified tax advisor in China. Richard is fluent in Mandarin and English.
