FAMILY HISTORY RECORDS, 1886-1958, no date This series is composed of letters, notes, charts, and clippings regarding King family history. Box 1, Folders 1-2 B. CORRESPONDENCE, 1840-1964, no date This series consists of three subseries further subdivided below: 1. William R. King correspondence, 1826-1853 ; 2. Family correspondence, 1840-1938, no date; 3. Typescripts of letters to Governor Gayle of Alabama from the 1830s also mention some of the political issues of the day. Typescripts of a personal letter to John McKee, a letter to Governor A. P. Bagby, and his resignation to Governor Benjamin Fitzpatrick can also be found in this series. In addition, there is a photocopy of the document certifying that he had taken the oath of office as vice president. Box 1, Folders 3-4 2.
