Sew across the diagonal of the smaller square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 3). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 4). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle ¼ away from the sewn seam. 4. Follow Figure 5 for the seam direction to add a ½ Fabric D square to the upper right corner of the ½ Fabric F square to make () block (Fig. 6). 5. Repeat Steps 3-4 to make (4) blocks total. 8. Sew () ¼ x 9 Fabric strip to each side of () 4 block. Sew () ¼ x 0 ½ Fabric strip to the top and to the bottom of the 4 block to make () 5 block (Fig. 9). Repeat to make (6) 5 blocks total. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the enter lock. 7. Sew () ¾ x 65 Fabric strip to each side of the enter lock. Sew () ¾ x 55 ½ Fabric strip to the top and to the bottom of the enter lock to make the quilt top. 8. Layer and quilt as desired. Page 3 9.
