John P. Jack Laborde School of Science and Engineering Outstanding Alumnus A community leader in business, sports, and professional organizations, Jack Laborde is the president of All Aboard Development Corporation, a New Orleans-based independent oil and gas exploration and development firm. He became president in 1996, following employment with Gulf Island Fabrication Inc., Ocean Drilling & Exploration Company/ Murphy Oil Corporation, and Exxon Co. USA. During those years from 1973-1996, he served in various engineering, corporate planning, offshore and onshore drilling and production operations, worldwide marketing, and other supervisory and executive assignments. Currently, he sits on the corporate boards of Gulf Island Fabrication Inc., where he serves as Chairman and Avoca LLC, a royalty company owning over 16,000 acres in Louisiana where he serves as President and the local Advisory Board of Iberia Bank,. Additionally, in professional and civic organizations, he serves on the LSU Health Sciences Center Foundation (Past Chairman), and is on the Board of Advisors, Tulane University Science & Engineering School, the Sugar Bowl Committee and is a trustee of the Almar Foundation. Board affiliations have included Jesuit High School, Tulane University Athletic Alumni (which he served as president), New Orleans YMCA, Audubon Institute, New Orleans Aquarium, Tulane University Athletic Director s Advisory Board, National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame (chapter president), Jefferson Scholars Selection Committee of the University of Virginia, New Orleans Country Club Board of Directors (President, 2006-07), Coast Guard/National Offshore Safety & Advisory Committee, Society of Petroleum Engineers, Independent Petroleum Association of America (regional director), the International Association of Drilling Contractors (director) and the Metropolitan Crime Commission. An alumnus of Jesuit High School, Mr. Laborde attended Tulane University on a football scholarship, lettering three years. One of the highlights of his university football career was playing for the Green Wave champions in the 1970 Liberty Bowl, Tulane s first bowl appearance since the 1940 Sugar Bowl. At Tulane, he received a B.S. degree in civil engineering and an M.B.A. For several years he answered to Captain of a carnival organization and he continues to enjoy memberships in several krewes. Jack was Rex, the king of carnival, in 2014. Golf is also a pastime for Laborde, who is a member of the U.S. Senior Golf Association. Jack and his wife, the former Margaret Lynn Peggy LeCorgne, have two married children. Their son, Eric, is a urologist at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans and daughter, Blayne Bonham, is an interior designer in Houston, Texas. Jack s dad, Alden J. Laborde, known as the pioneer of the offshore drilling industry served on Tulane s Board of Supervisors for over 10 years, was elected to the Paul Tulane Society and was inducted into the Science and Engineering School s Hall of Distinction. Jack s brother, Dr. Monroe Laborde, graduated in Biomedical Engineering in1969 and from Tulane s medical school in 1973. Monroe currently serves on the Biomedical School s Board of Advisors. Jack recently was awarded the Distinguished American Award from the Sugar Bowl Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.

Jennifer Snape School of Science and Engineering Outstanding Young Alumna Jennifer Snape, P.E. is a project manager at Gaea Consultants in New Orleans, which is a small, woman-owned civil and environmental engineering company whose president is a fellow Tulane graduate. She serves as the treasurer on the board for Groundwork New Orleans, which is a local non-profit that promotes sustainable storm water management through community engagement, youth education and training, and the construction of green infrastructure projects. Jennifer also serves as the treasurer on the board of the Society of American Military Engineers, which is a professional engineering society. Jennifer is a founding member of a branch of New Orleans local chapter of Engineers without Boarders that focuses on providing engineering services to non-profits in the City of New Orleans. She has also served on committees for the American Society of Civil Engineers and Society of Women Engineers. She is very involved in promoting the use of green infrastructure in New Orleans and the surrounding area. Jennifer graduated from Tulane in 2004 with a bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering with Honors. In addition, she received a master s certificate in Coastal Engineering from Old Dominion University in 2012. She is a registered professional engineer in California, Arizona, Louisiana, and Alabama. Jennifer has co-authored two historic engineering books, Louisiana s Oil Heritage and The Huey P. Long Bridge. She lives in New Orleans where she enjoys learning about New Orleans history and culture, live music, CrossFit, going to festivals and parades with friends, and volunteering.

Shepard F. Perrin III School of Science and Engineering Outstanding Service Alumnus Shepard F. Shep Perrin III is the Business Manager, Polypropylene for INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA based in League City, TX. He graduated in 1983 with a bachelor s degree in Chemical Engineering and has spent the past 33 years in the petrochemical industry. During his long career in the industry which has taken him across the country as well as overseas, Shep has worked for a number of major oil & chemical companies in positions of increasing responsibility from R&D to Sales & Market to Procurement. While at Tulane, Shep was a member of Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Throughout his career Shep has served as an alumnus volunteer for the university in a number of ways. He was active in the formation of the Los Angeles chapter city of the Alumni Association in the mid 80s. He served as president of the Baton Rouge chapter of the Alumni Association in the mid 90s. Shep also served 2 terms on the national Alumni Association Board of Directors. He is currently serving his second term on the Board of Advisors to the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. In 2004, Shep was appointed to the Tulane School of Engineering Board of Advisors. He continued to serve on the board post Katrina with the formation of the School of Science and Engineering. Shep is currently President Elect of the SSE Board of Advisors Shep is a 4th generation Tulanian. His father Shepard F Perrin Jr and grandfather Shepard Francis Perrin both graduated from the School of Engineering. Shep and his family founded the Shepard Francis Perrin Scholarship designated for the child or grandchild of a Tulane alumnus for study in the School of Science and Engineering in 1999. Shep serves as both lead recruiter and executive sponsor for Tulane University at INEOS. Tulane is one of INEOS target universities for chemical engineering graduates. In addition to his alumni volunteer work, Shep is active in his home community of Clear Lake, TX. He is a member of the Stewardship Committee at St Claire of Assisi Church. Shep is also president of his homeowner s association board of directors. He enjoys playing golf, traveling and cooking with his wife of almost 31 years. Shep is married to the former Yvonne Edell of New Orleans. They have three daughters Mathilde, Aimee and Celeste.
