PREP YOUR JEEP Drop down the rear seats. Remove the rear storage cover. Using a 4mm hex key, remove the four D-rings, two behind the passenger seats, one next to the base of the speaker and one opposite. ( B ) Place the left and right Slide Assemblies (Items 5 & 6) in the vehicle, lining up the the two mounting holes in the feet of the Slide Assemblies with the two threaded holes where the D-rings were fitted. The front feet of the Slide Assemblies sit in the recess of the left and right hand plastic mouldings as shown. FRONT FOOT REAR FOOT ( C ) Mark the outline of the rear feet onto the carpet using a suitable marker. Using a utility knife cut three sides of the carpet allowing the carpet to create a flap/hinge as shown. RIGHT HAND SIDE OF VEHICLE REAR SEATS REAR OF VEHICLE LEFT HAND SIDE OF VEHICLE 3
ASSEMBLE TRAY Hand tighten the Left and Right Inner Side Faces (Item 4) to the four Tray Sections (Items 3, 6, 7) using eight of the M6 Flat Washers and M6 Nyloc Nuts supplied. ( B ) Follow the same process used in Step 3A and fit the Inner Back Face (Item 2). ( c ) Turn the Tray upside down and hand tighten the four Tray Sections together using the M5x12 Hex Bolts, M5 Flat Washers and M5 Nyloc Nuts supplied. 4
FIT SLIDE ASSEMBLIES Place the lip that runs down the side of the Tray Assembly on top of the lip that runs down the length of the Slide Assembly. Line up the eight holes and fasten the Tray to the Slide Assembly using the M6x12 Button Head Bolts, M6 Flat Washers and M6 Nyloc Nuts Supplied. FIT THE FRONT FACE Looking at the front of the Tray Assembly, insert six M6 Cage Nuts into the square cut outs as shown. 5
FIT FRONT FACE...CONT. ( B ) Fit the Front Face to the Tray and fasten using four of the M6x12 Button Head Bolts supplied. You will be fixing into the six Cage nuts fitted in Step 3A (Three in the top and three into bottom). Fasten all the Nuts and Bolts fitted in Steps 3&4. FIT THE BACK PLATE Release the two catches on the Front Face and slide the Tray forward to access the bolt area. Loosen the two M5 Nyloc Nuts and Washers holding the Rubber Stoppers to the Slide Assemblies, leaving the Rubber Stopper in place. Fit the Rear Mounting Plate to the Slide Assemblies as illustrated, using four M6x12 Button Heads, M6 Flat Washers and Nyloc Nuts supplied along with the two M5 Nyloc Nuts and Washers from the Rubber Stoppers. 6
FIT THE Slider TO YOUR JEEP With the help of a friend, place the Slider into position lining up the four mounting holes. Take care not to scratch the interior of your vehicle. Flap the two pieces of carpet from Step 2C so that the rear mounting feet are flush against the vehicle's bodywork. ( B ) Hand tighten the Slider into position using the M6x30 Button Head Bolts and M6x19x1 Flat Washers supplied. Start with the front right corner next to the speaker box as shown. Fasten the two rear mountings, working in an anti-clockwise direction. You will need to open the Slider slightly to gain access to the rear mounts. Do not open the slider more than is needed as it will lift up and forward and could result in damage to the vehicle. After the rear mountings are secure, open the Slider to gain access and fasten the front left mounting. Once all four mountings are hand tight, close the Slider and push the whole assembly as far forward as possible. Check that the tailgate closes without hitting the Slider. Go back and tighten all four mounting bolts. 1 3 2 7
ADJUST RUBBER STOPPER Working from the rear of the Slider with it in the closed position, push against the bolt attached to the Rubber Stopper (refer to arrow) so that the Stopper is pushing up against the Slider. With pressure still being applied to the bolt, fasten Nut 2 until it just touches the Flat Washer 2. Tighten Nut 1 whilst holding Nut 2 with a wrench. Repeat for opposite side. THE FINISHED PRODUCT Congratulations you have successfully completed your Jeep JK Cargo Slide install. Job well done!
