63 Page DEPARTMENT 13 QUILT SHOW The quilt show will be held at the Cedar County Fair. Quilts will be entered on Thursday, the first day of the fair, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. Exhibits will be released at 4:00 PM on Sunday, the last day of the fair. An individual may enter only one exhibit per class. Quilts having won a prize at a previous Cedar County Fair are welcome for display only and will not be eligible for competition prizes. Best of Show - $50 Champion - $25.00; Reserve Champion - $10.00 Blue Ribbon - $3.00; Red Ribbon - $2.00; White Ribbon - $1.00 Section 130 Hand Quilted Quilts must measure at least 75 long to be entered in this section 12. Hand Quilting - Quilt will be judged on the design and workmanship of the hand quilting on the entry, quilting must be done by the entrant. 13. Art - Design reminiscent of a work of art, may be abstract design, landscapes, etc. 14. Tied Quilt - Top is finished by tying, rather than hand quilting. 15. Other Techniques - Entries which do not fit into other categories. 16. Pieced Quilt with added Technique.

Section 131 Machine Quilted Quilts must measure at least 75 long to be entered in this section 12. Machine quilting free motion or pantographs or combination. 13. Machine quilting quilts will consist of computer guided designs. 14. Machine quilting combination quilting design consists of both hand guided and computer guided designs. 15. Art - Design reminiscent of a work of art, may be abstract design, landscapes, etc. 16. Rag Quilt Top has raw, unfinished edges as a part of the quilt design. 17. Other Techniques - Entries which do not fit into other categories. 18. Pieced Quilt with added techniques, such as applique, etc. 64 Page

Top 3 winners will receive a prize. RULES FOR 2018 CHALLLENGE: Nebraska, Home Sweet Home Anything Nebraska related. This could be a table topper, table runner or lap robe or quilt.
