...NOT just another centrifuge...
CHOICE OF COLOUR INCLUDED IN PRICE. AN ADVANCED CUSTOM PAINT JOB COSTS A LITTLE EXTRA. WHAT SEPARATES US FROM THE CROWD? Our customers all have one thing in common they need to separate particles from liquids. We help them to do this effectively, using solutions that can be tailored to each individual operation. Everyone benefits from separation By improving dewatering efficiency for our customers, we help companies around the globe to reduce the volumes that require further processing or transportation. This enables them to reduce their transport needs, cut their costs and at the same time lower their environmental impact and that is something we all benefit from. Customer needs drive development Noxon s goal is to be your partner in wet and dry. Our business started with one person questioning why the centrifuges of the time were not more user-friendly. Since then, we have continued to question why the manufacturer so often dictates the terms of dewatering, rather than everything being based around the needs of the user. These are the thoughts that underpin our production of decanter centrifuges, polymer machines and control systems. Customised products Our customers operate in various industries around the world, and every application is unique. Our customers are therefore able to select the materials, accessories and modifications that will make our centrifuges fit perfectly into their business. You can even choose what your centrifuge looks like. Red, blue, striped or a custom paint job the choice is yours. Rapid response Your business is important! We know that our products are frequently expected to work 24/7 all year round to satisfy our customers. This is why we offer service agreements that provide preventive maintenance, and we have certified service engineers all over the world ready to provide a rapid response if something happens. FROM GARAGE Our story actually begins with a competitor. It was the early 1970s. Our founder Lars Åke Larson was working as an engineer at a water treatment plant when a new dewatering centrifuge was purchased from Germany. Lars Åke was so intrigued by the workings he went to work for the centrifuge supplier. As time went by, Lars Åke started thinking Surely the centrifuge could be made more user-friendly and precise? Surely it was possible to make it even better? His attempts to interest the company in his ideas met with indifference. So, fired up with enthusiasm and inspiration, Lars Åke rented a small office with an adjoining garage and started to experiment. By 1987, the very first centrifuge had been constructed in the garage and Noxon had seen the light of day. Since then, our centrifuge has journeyed from that garage to industries all over the world. A lot has happened since then, but one thing remains unchanged we continue to seek out improvements and we always listen carefully to co-workers with good ideas. Success depends on separating at the right speed SEPARATION WITH FULL CONTROL We manufacture our products in Sweden, but we develop them in partnership with customers all around the world. So we know they work. Every function is based on a real need. APPLI- CATIONS IN CON- TEXT WATER AND WASTEWATER Local authority water treatment requires effective separation of large sludge volumes around the clock. Noxon s decanter centrifuges can be found in many sewage treatment plants all over Sweden. BIOGAS Converting digested sludge into biogas is an eco-friendly way of creating renewable energy from biological material. Noxon works closely with customers to exceed today s ever tougher environmental standards. RECYCLING Recycling conserves the planet s resources. Noxon s effective dewatering system minimises the amount of sludge requiring further processing. Water recovery saves our environment. DECANTER CENTRIFUGE effective dewatering, fully customisable Noxon s decanter centrifuge provides cost benefits in all sorts of operations. The compact centrifuge takes up very little space and provides safe and reliable service year after year. Whether you have a large local sewage treatment plant or a small industrial plant, with our range of models we can ensure efficient dewatering for every industry. SP4000 SLUDGE REGULATOR complete control of the process around the clock Connecting the Noxon sludge regulator to the decanter centrifuge makes unmanned dewatering possible around the clock. The sludge regulator controls, regulates, logs and monitors the process during operation. A large touch screen makes it easy to monitor the process and view the latest statistics. POLYMER MACHINE reliable operation, homogeneous solution Noxon s polymer machine consists of communicating vessels. This allows continuous withdrawal of polymer solution, as preparation starts automatically as soon as the amount of solution sinks to a pre-set level. This gives our customers high levels of operational reliability. SLUDGE BELT THICKENER optimal sludge thickening, simple maintenance Noxon s sludge belt thickener provides optimal, problemfree sludge thickening. A complete automatic control cabinet manages all equipment regulation/control, allowing the sludge belt thickener to be controlled and monitored via modem. Simple operation and problem-free maintenance ensure a good working environment. INDUSTRIAL LAUNDRIES Automatic cleaning with alarm and stop functions for unexpected events provides a safe and controlled process around the clock. Noxon s control system makes it easy to maintain complete control. PAPER/CELLULOSE Simple operation and precise control ensure a safe and problem-free process for the paper industry. Noxon s control system and centrifuges have been developed with the user in mind. MINES Mining requires large quantities of water. Noxon s cost-saving dewatering methods reduce environmental impact. The robust design of the centrifuge makes it well suited to the harsh realities of mining. SLAUGHTERHOUSES Noxon s effective decanter centrifuges provide the best dewatering results for the investment, a fact much appreciated by the food industry. REFINERIES Oil-containing sludge is an environmental hazard. Noxon s decanter centrifuges make effective separation of water from contaminants a simple and problem-free process. OTHER INDUSTRIES Their unique potential for adaptation is one of the major selling points of Noxon s products. Each decanter centrifuge can be customised to function optimally in all sorts of contexts. FISHING INDUSTRY We are constantly developing our decanter centrifuges to work in different kinds of processes. Our equipment is particularly useful in the fishing industry. 4 SEPARATION WITH FULL CONTROL 5 APPLICATIONS IN CONTEXT

Anaerobic digestion in Michigan In Flint, Michigan, Swedish Biogas International has supplemented the existing wastewater treatment facility with a biogas plant that allows for the efficient processing of the city s sewage sludge. This allows them to generate biosolids for reuse and energy production in the form of biogas. January 2011 saw the installation of two Noxon centrifuges, which now enable the plant to produce drier solids than they could on their belt filter presses. 6 Noxon s support and service have been excellent, comments Chad Antle, Director of Operations at Swedish Biogas International. During installation their technician was very careful to check that everything worked as planned before he left. Noxon s process control system was also successfully integrated with the plant s existing Allen Bradley control system. Swedish Biogas International Location: Flint, Michigan, USA Products: 2 Noxon DC20 decanter centrifuges and 2 SP3000 sludge regulators Reduced costs for Dewatech Dewatech in Gävle receives and treats sludge from a number of different operations, including oil facilities, ports, storm water drains and industry. This is asking a lot from one facility. The nature of the sludge we get varies greatly, explains Tobias Björkgren, COO and co-owner. This means we need a centrifuge that is easy to re-set and fine-tune to achieve a good end result. We ve chosen to use Noxon s SP4000 sludge regulator connected to our own comprehensive control system and we are very happy with the results. The incoming sludge used to be composted, but the new centrifuge from Noxon has meant that significantly less sludge needs to be transported onward. Our electricity consumption has increased slightly, but that cost is negligible in comparison to what we save on transport and structural materials for composting, notes Martin Björkgren, CEO and co-owner. Cleaner processing and a better working environment have been an added bonus. The new decanter centrifuge is part of a complex process in which Dewatech purifies water until it s so clean that it can be discharged directly into the sea. As you can imagine, we have to meet tough standards. This is why it was so good for us to be able to get Noxon s test container here and run full-scale tests, says Tobias Björkgren. In the end the choice was easy. Dewatech AB Location: Gävle, Sweden Products: Noxon DC12 decanter centrifuge, SP3000 sludge regulator 7
