It also results in increases in exenditure for energy to be aid to the Power Suly Comany. This so-called reactive energy is no real energy consumtion. This inductive reactive current can be comensated by means of shunt caacitor bank using reliable and efficient KUSAM-MECO Power Factor Controller. The KUSAM-MECO Controller incororates state-of-art microrocessor based technology and with built-in rotective devices that ermanently monitors and ensure the rocessor for trouble-free oeration. The correct selection and coordination of measuring current referencing L1 and voltages of L2 and L3 enable reliable and otimal oeration of the KUSAM-MECO Controller. The KUSAM-MECO Controller switches in the caacitors in accordance with the selected switching rogram by means of relay contacts. From Pg...3 Remark 5 : All connected caacitors will be switched off in order once any setting has been changed. 5. P.S.L. : The recise setting of the target cos mode for a variety of alications be set in comliance with the measuring threshold of the actual ower factor value. Furthermore, the detecting band of the set C/K value is mainly derived from the actual load variations. i- : The setting range can be set from 1.00 to the target ower factor. And further, this mode reresents a fixed detecting range. (Only set as ositive inductive) -P- : The target ower factor can be ermitted to set in the range of caacitive ower factor. And further, this mode reresents a fixed setting oint. PP-: This mode comrises the above two modes with their secific features, but the target ower factor can not be set to caacitive ower. 6. CAP : The setting of the C/K value has two tyes of oerating modes, which includes the manual and automatic. /A (auto-detecting) mode. The C/K value can be set from 0.0i~2.40 during the manual mode. In case of selecting the manual mode, the calculation of the C/K value has to be done in comliance with the caacity of the first caacitor. Ck = IC / k IC = Var 3 x U Var : K Var (the first caacitor) U : Line-Volt (in the system) K : C.T. transformation ratio For examle : Var=10 K Var, U = 380V, k = 400:5 = 80 Ck = 10K/ (1.732x380x80) = 0.19 Please refer to age 3, table of C/K value

7. H.SP. : Fast switching erformance, ~Y?Y: Start-u In order to relace the gradual switching on/off caacitor ste, there are two solutions to an extended life of both the contactors and the caacitors as follows. 1. Switching on/off the largest ossible caacitor ste is in order to reduce the frequent switching oerations. And the switching rogram will directly start entering the ste in circular sequence for switching on/off caacitor if the actual load is fitted in with the circular sequence. Furthermore, the rest of the switching rogram should be activated in comliance with the selected A mode. 2. After starting this rocedure, in case of the subsequent connection/ disconnection to caacitor again, a half of the reset switching delay time under the LY model will be activated; meanwhile, the decimal oint of the unit lace also flashes. If no longer switched on/off caacitor, the switching delay time will recover the standard setting. This H.S.P. Mode will be de-activated for switching on/off caacitor if the setting of the number of switching ste is less than the switching ste in circular sequence. For examle : LY = 30, S P = 6, A = I i24 (ste 4 as circular sequence) In case a comensation demand for the reactive ower value (K Var) is 10 times of the CK value, the following exlanations are as follows : The controller will directly switch on the caacitor (ste 4) after 30 seconds beacause the reactive ower value (K Var) is higher than 4 times of the C/K value, thus the K Var value in the system should be derived from the designed formula as 10-4=6. This way, the derived value (10-4=6) in K Var is still higher than 4 times of the C/K value, a half of the reset switching delay time under the LY mode will be activated for switching on again (new default value has been automatically changed as 15s), and meanwhile, the decimal oint of the unit lace also flashes. Following u the designed formula, now the latest derived value (6-4=2) in K Var in the system is less than the ste 4 in circular sequence so the H.S.P. Mode should be de-activated. Select the Auto mode, the H.S.P. Mode is de-activated. 8...s. : Setting of the over-voltage range : I i0~i30%º It is no longer switched on caacitor once the measured mains suly exceeds the reset range. 9.... : Triing setu for over voltage : Y: Start-u All the stes will be switched off in order once the legend E 2 is shown on the dislay. This triing setting must be activated according to the setting of the LY and A mode. 10. a. : Auto-adjustment in inverted-hase shift ~Y?Y: The hase-shift will be automatically reversed at 180 degrees as the measured hase angle exceeds 90 degrees, and the dislaying screen indicates E 5 after 3 seconds. Moreover, it is unnecessary to alternate the cable in the electrical network system excet for the hase error. This rocedure is only alied to the following conditions. 1. The connected voltage terminals with the reverse olarity. 2. The direction of the measured current flow has been inverted.
