If you are not able to supply digital images, you may bring your unframed painting(s) to the meeting to be photographed. Fall is here and the weather is beautiful!!! Watching the leaves change with the fabulous colors is always an amazing show and inspiration. Another amazing exhibition is the Member s Show now hanging at the Sahara West Library. A big thank you goes out of Sylvia Bachiochi, Dave Mazur, Barrie Folsom, and Louise Gillespie for all their help doing the hours of behind the scenes work support the exhibition. Also, thanks to the Library District for their support and sharing our enthusiasm with the public. Now, it is time to look forward in giving back to the community. We re doing just that at November s meeting where we ll create ornament masterpieces. The ornaments will be donated to the Mesquite Club for their Holiday sale that benefits local charities. Please join us and get into the Holiday spirit. Also at the November meeting, my husband will be available to photograph paintings for entry into the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies. With that, I hope that you are painting with wild abandon Video Library Videos are available to rent for NVWS members - $5.00 a month. Accolades to our NVWS Members Congratulations to Renee Clark NVWS newest Signature Member At the Green Valley Library on Sunset and Green Valley, the Las Vegas Art Guild sponsored their Fall show. Sharon Menary won Best of Show for her watercolor It s Never too Late to Write. Sharon Menary was also awarded a blue ribbon for first place in watercolor at the City Lights Fall competition. Congrats to Sharon!!! Congratulations to Sylvia Bachiochi raffle winner of Nita Leland s book Aileen Dike The Arts Community of Southern Nevada and the Nevada Watercolor Society lost a valued member last month Aileen Dike. She was a signature member of the Nevada Watercolor Society and an active member of the Boulder City Art Guild and the City Lights Gallery in Henderson. A Special THANK YOU to Sharon Menary for organizing the fabulous workshop this past month and to Sylvia Bachiochi for organizing the Fall Show We appreciate ALL the hard work!!! Aileen was an accomplished landscape and wildlife artist. Her love of the arts was evident in what she accomplished and how she lived. We will miss her.
