Who is Oxfam? Oxfam confederation was formed in 1995 There are 17 affiliates operating in 94 countries: America, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, England, Hong Kong, India, Intermon (Spain), Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Mexico, Novib (the Netherlands), Quebec. One observer - Oxfam Brazil 8 members from the global south are planning to join the confederation by 2020. Criteria for selecting SMEs is legally registered in Vietnam (no government capital, no foreign capital), priority is given to women led enterprises has tangible positive impact on small scale farmers, women and youth or provides consumer products for low income people complies with the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria has been operating for more than 2 years has 10-250 employees has annual turnover of more than USD300k (less than USD5mil) has potential for scaling up Is in need of capital but has difficulty in accessing bank loans

Social Impact created by SMEs 7 SMEs created jobs for 581 peoples: 355 permanent staff (76%) and 141 temporary staff (24%). Of these, 80% are female.

DVIC production and trading of Ginger and GAC Fruit DVIC is being managed by a couple. Mr. Hiep is responsible for developing material areas selling products while Mrs. Ha is responsible for management of the company and production of ginger and GAC products..
