Class summary The Sheet Set Manager (SSM) in AutoCAD is your ultimate document management tool. In this class we will setup a design project using a template, organize all of the sheets, and publish the entire set to pdf when complete. At the end of this class, you will be able to take your existing company title blocks and create a template to use on all projects increasing your productivity and efficiency. Most importantly, you ll be able to bring back value to your employer and the knowledge to help you excel within your field
Key learning objectives At the end of this class, you will be able to: Describe and identify the functions of the SSM. Create a sheet set from a template and existing drawings using the SSM. Populate data throughout the entire project using the SSM. Publish the entire drawing package to a pdf file using the SSM.

Let s Begin by Creating a New Sheet Set
Rename the SSM subsets Right-click and rename Grading Plans to Title Sheet Right-click and rename Utility Plans to Site Plans Right-click and rename Roadway Plans and Profiles to Details Right-click and rename Drainage to Working files Right-click and delete Sanitary and Sewer

Complete the template then remove the sheet
Save the.dst and the.dwt to default locations Under the file settings Template Settings you can place your templates. Sheet Set Template (.dst) and Drawing Template (.dwt).

Let s Start our Project with the AU2015 Template
Let s Start a new drawing with the AU2015 Template
Save the file to our project folder
Import the Sheet, Check Page Setups, fill in the Project Control Data in the SSM
Important! Save your drawing file to the template folder. This will be our standard template. Close the drawing template file
Open up G-100 and save the file 3 separate times
Open up C-100 and make 3 layout tabs
Import all our sheets into the SSM
Rename and renumber our sheets
Link the page setup overrides to the SSM
Insert the Sheet Index Table and Project Title
Check variables and Publish to background
Print the entire Sheet Set
