Meet the Professionals MITCHELL S. ROCK Senior Vice President Wealth Advisor Having spent more than two decades on Wall Street, Mitchell has the extensive experience and knowledge to lead The Rock Group. His primary responsibility is to work with clients to develop an effective asset allocation strategy based upon their tolerance for risk and long-term objectives. Mitchell also directs the group s equity strategies and has final approval for all outside money managers, mutual funds, closed-end funds, exchangetraded funds and fixed income securities utilized in the construction of client portfolios. Mitchell received his BA in Accounting from The George Washington University and an MBA in Finance from New York University. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, he held similar positions in the private client groups of UBS and Oppenheimer & Co. Mitchell started his career in finance as Director of Research at a hedge fund, where he designed sophisticated multiasset portfolios for institutional investors utilizing nontraditional asset classes. In total, Mitchell has 23 years of experience on Wall Street. He then assists in portfolio construction and has primary responsibility for the team s performance monitoring and client reporting functions. Oscar also is the group s research liaison conveying investment ideas along with market and portfolio updates for the team s clients. In addition, he heads the portfolio analysis efforts and overseas the equity and mutual fund models. Oscar started his career on Wall Street at Merrill Lynch, where he spent three years advising individual investors and their families on investment management strategies. Oscar earned his BA in Economics from The College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts.
