THE PARTNERS Le Petit Monde, Tours - France (lead) Le Petit Monde is a non-profit organization founded in 2001 whose objective is the enhancement of a territory by organizing cultural events. The association have the profession of utopia to offer a real alternative to cultural diffusion models, to bring generations and social classes together, to work the artistic emotion and make the public actor of his free time. Known for its originality, it was given many projects by local authorities and gradually specialized in animation and valorization of river territories. It puts in place actions that will enhance the interactivity between the public, spaces and stakeholders, foster the meaning of the event, creating strong collective experiences. The Structure is open to the world, developing projects in France and abroad (Mekong Festival in Laos, Pacha Uchuk festival in Ecuador, The Javelle, effervescent guinguette in Paris, etc). One of its main projects is Tours sur Loire, a touristic and socio-cultural project of the city of Tours, which was born in 2004. Downstairs of the main Bridge in the city center, the guinguette is open each year during four months every day, 135 days and 135 nights of programming. On a site listed as World Heritage by UNESCO, are proposed: an open-air cinema, over 90 concerts and shows, games, arts and sports practices, 100 workshops for adults and young audiences, dance and encounters. The guinguette is a place to live, a space of sociability and openness, where the audience participates in the collective life. The project helped to reassert the value of the Loire border. Now more than 200,000 people go there every season, a number which is constantly increasing. Pacha Uchuk, Quito Ecuador The Ecuador is a great partner here according to the notions of the «mothernature» (Pacha Mama), and of «good living» (Buen Vivir), both registered in the constitution. Relationships are linked between Tours and Quito since 2013, we organized an artistic residency of 15 days at the Contemporary Art Center and a multidisciplinary festival 3 days in Amaguaña. This project, based on intercultural exchange, continued with the development of artistic workshops in prisons. Tourangeaux have discovered the Franco-Ecuadorian creations at the guinguette in July 2014. And why not you? You are an organization with skills in project management that combines art and environment?... Join the adventure! What new insights do you want to share, experiment and defend, in terms of public access, digital development, transfer of competences, social design, etc?
