Team Building: The Toolbox Way! Your complete guide to growing your team! Offering someone the same opportunity you are now enjoying is a very rewarding experience in many ways. As well as many rewards, recognition and bonuses you have the amazing experience of watching and supporting your new team members achieve their goals and dreams. By following our Toolbox way systems for success you will find just by doing your Work AT your Work you can Team Build with ease. Who is a future possible Consultant - a TFF? So what exactly is a TFF? Toolbox Friend Forever! It s a fun way of saying they are a future possible Consultant, someone who you d love to have join your team. So who makes it into this category? Of course anyone who expresses any form of interest in your job, asking the right questions, taking home the paid to party brochure, someone who could really use the extra income, loves cooking, hates their job, but it is also someone who you just feel would make a great Consultant and you simply like them! The way to keep TCT on their radar is to establish regular contact with them. Offer to let them know about special offers, customer and Host incentives, special Party days and new products as they occur. Just regular, friendly contact, Facebook of course and great customer service! You simply never know when it might be the right time for them. People s situations change all the time, for example; they may experience changes at their workplace, extra costs at home or just want to do something different. And guess who they will think of first! At your Cooking Parties you are a Talent Scout, be on the lookout for like-minded people to join your team. If you pay attention you will find two potential TFFs at EVERY Party! Nurture the relationship and keep in touch, you never know what s around the corner for them. Your Hosts are always your strongest prospects, they are definite TFFs! They are Party Plan friendly, they clearly like you already, they love TCT products, they are well trained as they ve Hosted before! HOT TIP: Never refuse anyone who offers to help you take your bag/s to the car. Sometimes they have been too shy to ask about what you do in front of the group and want to chat to you privately! Team Building & TFF Tracking - Pg. 1

Your Team Building Prop A very effective way to help you start the joining conversation is to put a prop on your less is best display. The idea here is to pick something meaningful but eye-catching or unusual so that people ask about it. For example, you might choose a slinky to signify that your job is flexible. Almost certainly someone will ask about it if it s on the Less is Best Display. This gives you the perfect opportunity to share with them why you love your job and the fantastic benefits it brings you. Examples A picture of your family showing that you have more time A clock that portrays how much more time you have A tennis ball. Someone is sure to ask about it, Well I m glad you asked! The reason I ve got that there is because since I ve joined The Chefs Toolbox, I have more flexibility with my own time and I m now able to play tennis with my friends on Friday afternoons! A prop relating to a specific goal you are saving towards thanks to TCT! Such as a cruise ship toy this could signify a trip you re planning to go on, a pool toy or a new oven toy to signify house renovations you are wanting A high heel shoe to talk about the extra luxury shopping money you now have! Make it unusual so that people ask about it! A Prop is the perfect way to start a conversation about how great it is to be a TCT Consultant! Team Building & TFF Tracking - Pg. 2

Your Buisiness Invitation Your Cooking Party Flip Chart has the words to say for your Business Invitation however it comes to the section where you insert what you love about the Chefs Toolbox and what it has done for you. This is your opportunity to share your personal reasons, everyone has an inspiring TCT story whether you think you do or not! About two years ago I was invited to a Chefs Toolbox Cooking Party by a friend. I wasn t really sure what it was all about but I went along anyway. I had such a fantastic evening and I couldn t believe the Consultant was actually getting paid to do this! We cooked a yummy pizza and we all got to have a go at using the products I was immediately hooked, I just loved them. When it came time to have our catch up at the end, she told me a little more about TCT and I thought why not give it a go? Well, I did and I haven t looked back. I joined a few weeks later and now I pick my kids up after school, can go to all their activities and just be there when they need me because I am my own boss. I just love it. It really does feel like I m getting paid to party! And with all the cooking shows on television, people are really keen to learn more and try our products. In fact I am looking for people to join me so if you think this might be something you d like to do (or you have a friend who you think it might suit), have a chat to me when we catch up at the end and I can tell you more! Personal stories work the best because people can relate to them. Write out your story that you would share at a Party, by putting it on paper and rehearsing it you can be sure that you feel natural when the time comes, we call this push the nose and out it flows c Be excited! Do it 10/10! Never pre-judge your guests at your Party, ALWAYS (no matter what) do your Business invitation because you never know where your next team member will come from! Overall remember to SHARE YOUR EXCITEMENT about your business! Team Building & TFF Tracking - Pg. 3

Book in a Coffee and a Chat So you ve asked everyone at the Party during the one on one and someone is interested! Fantastic well done! The next step is to gage how serious they are, if they are ready to join on the night- great get them to fill out the sign up form and book in their Launch Party within the next week! If they need more information, then arrange to meet for a coffee, within the next 48 hours, so you can share more about the business and help to get them started. This is called the Coffee and Chat, and really it s just about helping them see if The Chefs Toolbox is a good fit for them. It really is a matter of just asking: So Susan, I actually have some free time tomorrow morning or Wednesday afternoon this week. I d love to catch up for a coffee with you to tell you more about what I do and see if it is a good fit for you. Which of those days suit you the best? Just like asking for bookings, you ask her an open-ended question so there is less likelihood she ll say no! If you are new to the business or haven t done a Coffee and Chat before, we suggest you chat to your Upline or Upline GM who will be able to guide you through the steps. The best way to run your Coffee and Chat is to work through the Getting Started booklet, with them, as it guides you through a successful conversation. Here are a few useful tips to holding a Successful Coffee and Chat; Assume the person will be joining! Find out what the person s needs are and match what we are offering to those needs Try not to bombard them with too much information, they don t need to know everything now Answer any question they have if possible and if you don t know the answer to something just let them know you will ask your upline and get back to them ASAP. Ask them on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being this isn t for you and 10 is I m in, where are you sitting? If it is a low number you can then ask what s holding them back or do they need more information? Always close with the question, so can you see yourself as a Chefs Toolbox Consultant? When they answer yes, great let s book your launch party in now. If they answer no it not for me, ask if they would like to book a party and continue to enjoy our products for Free or heavily discounted? If they answer not sure, ask is their anything else you need to know to help you decide today? If they say they just need time to think about it then say no worries I will leave you with the information for you to read through again in your own time and I will give you a call tomorrow to get your final decision then. Would that be ok with you? The most important rule is to follow up when you say you will and never be pushy as this is just an opportunity you are offering them and some will, some won t, so what, someone s waiting!! When you know and except that every single person won t join and it is and always will be a numbers game to find your new team members, you won t take it personally and you will keep offering every guest at every party and every Host and this is how you will keep your team strong. Team Building & TFF Tracking - Pg. 4

Nurturing your Leads As discussed at a recent DSAA Conference that it takes on average a prospect three different contacts with you and your company before they join. This may be the party itself, a phone call from you and perhaps a Coffee and Chat appointment. If you keep this in mind and follow through with people who ve shown at least some interest, then you won t give up prematurely and lose a possible Consultant a TFF! Just like any relationship, leads need nurturing! The leads you ve collected may not be ready to do anything now but keeping in touch with them on a regular basis will keep the lines of communication open. So what is regular contact? A good rule of thumb here is about once every 5-6 weeks. This could be by sending them a product update, the offer of hosting a MasterClass with a new theme or to let them know about a Host incentive. Anything you think might be of interest to them. That way, you re not pressuring them, simply keeping them in the loop and TCT top of mind. The best way to arrange this is when you meet them, to say something like: Would you mind if I grabbed your details so I can let you know about special offers and events when they happen? That way, you ve got permission and your lead won t be surprised when you contact them. Here are some tips when making contact with your leads: Be giving of your time and your advice great customer service makes people feel special and they ll want to hear from you Be nice to everyone they ll remember you and want to be associated with you (remember the walking talking billboard ) Share food/recipe tips (particularly if they have special needs eg gluten free) ChefsClub dollars always makes a good reason to contact them. Make sure others see you as a positive, warm and friendly person they would like to interact with Keep it simple look at where you are spending your time and your precious energy. What is generating you the best results? Remember you are only 4 or 5 people away from anything you want or need! According to the DSAA it takes an average three different contacts before a prospect joins. Team Building & TFF Tracking - Pg. 5

The Genuine Compliment approach! When working with your TFFs, make them feel special, share with them why you think they would be great as a Chefs Toolbox Consultant. This is where you pay a genuine compliment to someone about why you think they would be great doing what you do! For example, you might say: You know Susan, I really enjoyed getting to know you tonight, you are so much fun and it was great to watch you get really involved in the cooking, you are so bubbly and people just seem to naturally warm to you. Those are exactly the qualities that I look for in someone to join my team, with your personality you would be really well suited to doing this. Even if you are only 1% interested, I d love to have a chat with you and see if this could be a good fit for you, and if you are not, well consider this a compliment as I think you are great! The compliment needs to be real and heartfelt and it s important to say why you think the person would be good at this. This will have the result of her feeling really good about herself and planting the seed that perhaps this is something If you don t ask you have 100% chance of them saying NO Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. - Mother Teresa What do you say to So what do you do? Toolbox, have you heard of it before? Always be prepared with an answer that you feel comfortable with and that shows off your business opportunity! If people ask you what you do, a simple and very effective reply is I run my own business teaching people how to cook simple, healthy meals at home By only sharing a small amount, it leaves it open for people to ask you more because it sounds interesting! Well it s with a company called The Chefs We run these great in-home Cooking Parties in the comfort of your own home and show you how to stock up your cupboards with top quality products for FREE and heavily discounted prices. Remember 1 in 5 Hosts will join a Party Plan of some sort so if they don t join right away it is good for you to book them in and then follow the Toolbox Way success systems to build your team with new team members every month! Remember 1 in 5 Hosts will join a Party Plan - let it be with you Team Building & TFF Tracking - Pg. 6

Get organized with your New Consultant Literature Paid to Party - booklet 1 Paid to Party booklet When you follow your Flip Chart you will find at the close of sale it tells you to hand one of these booklets out to every guest at every party! Pass out the Paid to Party - booklet 1 I ve just handed you some information about The Chefs Toolbox business opportunity. This is for you to take home or give it to someone you know that would enjoy an extra $400 to $5,000 a month into their family budget. My business is built on referrals from lovely people like you, so if you refer someone to me and they book a Party or successfully join my team, I will reward you with a thank you gift. When you do this consistently you will find your new Team members with ease. The more you do this the bigger chance you have of finding your goal number of new team members each and every month! Paid to party Always have FIVE Paid to Party Booklets and FIVE Catalogues in your car at all times. You could even set yourself a goal to hand out five per week to possible new Hosts and new Team members. As an aspiring leader this will always help you to keep your program strong and finding new blood so to speak of new lines of parties and most importantly new team members! Getting Started - booklet 2 Getting Started This booklet is to be used at your appointment with a prospect, we call this a Coffee and Chat, this will help guide you in supporting every new Team member to a successful start! It is a workbook, so designed to be walked through with a potential new Consultant the steps to launching their new TCT business! It really is as simple as that! The rest is up to them to set their goal to achieve Fun start 1,2 and 3 to really have an awesome start. Team Building & TFF Tracking - Pg. 7

Paid to Party Webinars Another great way to introduce people to the business is the Paid to Party Webinar. Your leads can watch these prior to a Coffee and Chat and if they can t make a Coffee and Chat in the next week or so, this is a great way to strike while the iron is hot! So what are they? They are simply a 40 min information session (done via Webinar) for anyone who d like to know more about who we are, what we do, what they ll be able to earn and what opportunities are available. The objective is to encourage your prospects to give TCT a go once they ve seen what s on offer. We always have one of our Consultants share their TCT experience and what they love about the business with the audience this shows the listeners this is a real job with amazing benefits. We recommend you register for the Webinar on behalf of the person so that they don t forget and a reminder is sent to them directly. We also suggest you call them on the day to remind them it s on and the day after to follow up whether they listened in or not! Through the work you do with the prospect and the Webinar over 40% of those who do listen, actually join! That is a remarkable statistic and well worth bearing in mind. Remember this is a people business, so a Paid to Party Webinar is NEVER a replacement for your personal appointment, a Coffee and Chat is always more effective. All Paid to Party Webinar links can be found in the Consultant Portal, My Toolbox, Important Dates. TFF Calls Business Building Calls TFF Calls Business Building Calls When you follow the Flip Chart you will set yourself up to be able to make your promised customer follow up calls. TFF Record Sheet (for your Possible new Team Members) As you are on the lookout at every Party for 2 TFF s don t trust your memory to remember everything about them, keep a record of where you are at with every TFF! As we like to make your job easier, we have created a TFF Record Sheet to help you track all of the vital information on your possible new Team Member. Keep your TFF Record sheets in a folder in your home office, each time you meet a TFF or have contact with them record it! This will make it easier on your Business Building Day when you are calling your TFFs as you have all their information in one spot! Add notes for the things you want to remember, like a bit shy but very keen or moving in two weeks, contact after that etc Note down date of next contact and what was discussed so you can refer back it before your next call or contact. TFF Record Sheet is your System for Team Building Success! Your Cooking Party FlipChart Your Cooking Party FlipChart is your Team Building Key! No matter how experienced you are at your Parties, the Flipchart will be a big sign to anyone at a Party that hey she s just reading off that flipchart maybe I could do what she does instead of wow she is so amazing and knows so much, I could never do what she does! Your Flipchart has so many different snapshots, pitches and little ads for your job, you will never forget to talk about joining when you follow it! You will say a perfect business invitation each and every time when you follow the prompts You will have the words to say to each guest to ask them to join you in a nonawkward way! Our motto is JUST ASK everyone! You have the formula of how to ask every Host to join you via the Host Option A or Option B technique it is a winner every time! You are 100% duplicable when you use your Flipchart! And you are 100% not, if you don t! Team Building & TFF Tracking - Pg. 9
