Technical specifications / user manual Universal dimmer General The universal dimmer is suited for usage with high voltage lamps, magnetic transformers, electric transformers, ESL and LED retrofit lamps. There are 2 separate dimmer channels available, which are resistant to up to 700W respectively. By configuring and using a parallel circuit the dimmer is resistant to up to x400w. Each channel is adjustable to be used for the desired load (leading or trailing edge phase control). The dimmer will automatically check if the connected load is able to be used with the current setting after connecting it to operating voltage. By using a dim resolution of 6 bit, the dimmer meets highest requirements. Properties such as dim curves, minimum and maximum limits are factory defined, but can be changed and optimized by the operator. ISYGLT operators can adjust settings in the ProgrammDesigner software as usual. Free software is available for standalone or DMX usage. It allows adjusting parameters and displaying internal stats such as temperatures, voltages, peak currents and outputs via USB or RS-485 connection. Additionally, a new oscilloscope feature is integrated, which allows the operator for the first time to display the current load without dangerous measurements of line voltage. This also makes it possible to check unknown lamps such as new retrofit lights without any additional equipment. You only need a connected dimmer, a USB cable (USB type A to micro B m/m) and our free software.
