Time Management Time management is important in all tasks. If you can't manage your time wisely you may end up getting over whelmed. You need to give yourself time between things that you are doing such as tasks throughout the day. When you choose to make a new habit it will take 21 days for your brain to register it as a habit without thinking about it anymore and for example as eating healthy or exercising.
12 Time Management Tips 1) Teach yourself to say no. Sometimes you may think that you can handle a lot, but other times you may feel overwhelmed and have to much on your plate. 2) Putting appointments within the same week also helps with time management, when shopping try to have a list of stores together (Sobeys,Dollarstore, Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire) 3) Try having a calendar to help, have times written down for each thing. 4) Add a time limit to your tasks
More time management tips 5) Prioritize your tasks before you start anything, do your time wasting small tasks first. You have to be ready mentally and physically for it all. 6) Devote all your focus to the task you are doing. Sometimes multitasking does not work for people, do try and focus on one thing at a time. 7) Don't allow unimportant details to drag you down. Say you have a project for school or work, and you have a two weeks to do it, don't allow yourself to get caught up in the small details. 8) Leave extra time between tasks. When thinking about doing the next task think S.M.A.R.T S: Be specific M: measure it A: is it achievable?... R: be realistic T: is there a time limit
9) Do less. Multitasking can be good to get lots of stuff done all at once. Some people don't have this talent, it's okay. 10)On weekends give yourself a break. Give your body a rest. Your brain and body work together like a team. 11)Lock yourself in. Stick to your own goal you've made for yourself. Finish top priorities first if you can. 12)Do something during waiting time. If you are in a situation where multitasking helps then do it!
