Compact and easy to install, it fits easily in an existing installation, thanks to a reduced wiring. A GSM / GPRS modem, with battery, support for SIM card, and an integrated antenna. An astronomical clock, for the lighting control. Communication ports : USB, RS485/422, CAN, EN62053. Measurement of daily, monthly, cumulated consumption. Measurement of instantaneous consumption. Measurement of voltages of the lighting network. Disappearance / Reappearance of the supply and lighting voltages. Lack of engagement of lighting (contactor or control device faulty). Monitoring of a rupture of continuity in the network (cable cut, open protection of a feeder). Monitoring of the state of the lamps: associated with an energy meter, the Augier-Box carries out the follow-up of the consumption, which allows knowing the number of faulty lamps (an alarm will be generated on reaching a programmed threshold). Over-consumption (fault, overload, hacking). These measurements, detections and states are diffused thanks to the components according to: Wireless connection: the Augier-Box includes a modem allowing to communicate any alarm by SMS via the GSM network (tele-alarm sent on a cellular phone), and all other information or measurements via the GSM-data / GPRS network (control and monitoring). Autonomy: a reserve of a few days allows the diffusion of alarms also in the event of total cut of supply. In the event of total discharge of the internal battery, all the parameter setting remains preserved: no intervention is necessary at the time of the return the main voltage. Integrated Astronomical Clock: it is associated to an output relay allowing controlling the main contactor of the lighting installation. Bus Communication: the Augier-Box includes buses of different technologies (CAN, RS485, EN62053), authorizing direct connection with modules or others communicating equipment. 3
Communications Each Augier-Box has its own identity (coding on 16 characters), geographical coordinates of longitude and latitude (for the astronomical clock and a geo-localisation). It has in memory, phone numbers in order to send information towards the standby personnel, and also memorizes the log of the last events which have occurred. Communication with the standby personnel is carried out by mean of SMS via the GSM network, in a bidirectional way : the Augier-Box can be at the origin of the call (on alarm or event), or receive a call for consultation (remote readings operated from a cellular phone). Communication with a monitoring system is carried out via the GSM Data / GPRS network CAN, RS485 and EN62053 links allow all extensions towards other analysis systems, or other AUGIER equipment to be controlled (Dimmers type COMPACTO, OPTIMOFLUX, Augier swithgears type EP12-EP13 or CDE12-13). An USB socket in front allows the local connection of a notebook PC for control and parameter setting. A Very Simple User Interface OK Three indicators allow to know the operating condition of the Augier-Box : Yellow : Lighting fault (lack of control, lamps fault, etc ) Red : Augier-Box â fault (lack of GSM network, battery out of order, SIM not recognized, etc ) Green : Lighting as well as the Augier-Box â correctly working. Control Parameters A Plug & Play operation : the software installed on the PC detects automatically the Augier-Box â and presents a simple user interface allowing to fulfil the necessary parameters for an operational use (phone numbers in the event of alarm, thresholds, etc ). The Augier-Box is delivered regulated, ready to install. Using the provided software and a standard PC having an USB socket, it is possible to modify all parameters, which allows to adapt any particular application (Street Lighting installation with or without dimmer, metering, control of lighting, etc ). PC Software for AUGIER-Box parameters Each AugierBox could be adjusted using the supplied PC sofware. The main parameters are date, time, GPS positions, alarms settings, cellular phone numbers for alarm sending. Global Supervision This window give information regarding: State of the GSM connexion, Current time & date, Sun set and sun rise times calculated by the astronomical clock, Voltage on the 3 phases (if connected). Power per phase and total power (connexion with an optionnal energy meter or a dimmer type Compacto II), Total energy consomption (same option) Estimated load, in ohms (same option), Calculated power factor (same option). Astronomical Clock Settings This window manages the astro. clock: Typing the GPS position of the cabinet Increasing or decreasing the proposed times for switching ON & OFF the lighting contactor with a time delay from 1 to 60 mn (for example: if shadow from mountains or buildings), Managing the times to force a switching on & off of the lighting contactor, Displaying the state of the forced position Settings of the Sim card & Telephonic modem Typing PIN code, Technicians cellular tel numbers, Limitation of SMS sent per day, password of AugierBox Alarm settings & labels Typing the thresholds for all alarms, Typing the label of 2 alarms connected on inputs 5
Interfaces with Monitoring Systems The Augier-Box is mainly used for Communication between a dimmer type Compacto (I or II) and / or an electrical energy metering unit. The Augier-Box sends alarms & states, via SMS or through GSM communication, or via an optic fibre network. The Augier-Box also transfers commands: changement of voltage thresholds, on/off, Site installation in cabinets There are 3 kinds of installation, on site: The Augier-Box stands alone for voltage control and alarms, The Augier-Box could communicate, by serial link RS485 with : - an energy meter, - a system to monitor each lamp, by power carrier line technolgy. The Augier-Box could be associated with some dimmers type Augier Compacto or equivalent. In this application, the Augier-Box operates as a GSM modem for the PC software of the dimmer, which parameters such as times Or voltages of cost saving periods could be modified. 6
