Wulfsberg FliteLine : CVC-151 VHF Communication System PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The FliteLine VHF Communication System is an all digital DSP VHF Transceiver, built and designed to ARINC Air Transport specifications. CVC-151 VHF Transceiver is designed to meet the latest ATC environment and all future CNS ATN requirements. The CVC-151 has provisions for VDL Mode 2 and VDL Mode 3. Our FliteLine Communication System features a 20 watt solid-state transmitter and is compliant with 25 khz or 8.33 khz spacing. CVC-151 Transceiver architecture is standard ARINC 429 which supports interface to FMS systems and RMS 555 Radio Management System. The CVC-151 Transceiver is totally interchangeable with current Series III VHF Com s. The result is increased customer reliability. Wulfsberg Series III : VCS 40A/C VHF Communication System PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The VCS 40A/C VHF Communication System includes an all-digital VHF Transceiver built and designed to ARINC 700 series Air Transport specifications. The VCS 40A/C features a 20-watt solid-state transmitter and can channel 25 khz or 8.33 khz spacing. Tactical Communication Products: P-2000 Panel Mounted Transceiver Systems SAMPLE SYSTEM #1: P-2000 Single User, Single Transceiver For applications requiring single user/single transceiver operations the P-2000 with one Internal Transceiver Module (ITM) is just the ticket. Simple, cost effective, yet power enough to get the job done. And as always, Wulfsberg products are designed for upgrading to that second ITM if more than one channel must be monitored or if the enhanced modes such as relay or simulcast are desired. SAMPLE SYSTEM #2: P-2000 Single User, Two Transceivers For retrofit installations where only one Mic/Headset port is available on the audio system, choose a P-2000 with dual ITM s (Internal Transceiver Modules). This will allow a single operator to monitor two channels and still have control of all the built-in enhanced functions such as relay and simulcast. This is an excellent choice when upgrading from legacy Wulfsberg products such as the C-962/RT- 9600. The P-2000 is designed to be pin for pin compatible with most C-962A/S installations which means remove the C-962A, add the antennas and coax cable to the P-2000 and you re ready to fly! Tactical Communication Products: P-2000 Panel Mounted Transceiver Systems SAMPLE SYSTEM #3: P-2000 Two Operators Two Transceivers The P-2000 can also be configured for dual independent operation of each ITM (Internal Transceiver Module). To operate in this mode, there must be two audio panel positions (e.g. FM1 and FM2). This type of installation will allow each operator to transmit independently on their own ITM. They can monitor each other s channel via the audio panel selector switches. This system should be considered wherever possible for new installations (as well as upgrades) since it provides the most flexibility for multi-operator/multi-station installations. SAMPLE SYSTEM #4: P-2000 Front/C-2000 Back, Two Transceivers In applications where operators are located in the front and back of the aircraft, use a combination P- 2000 and C-2000. Both displays show identical information and have equal capabilities. Both single and dual audio panel connections can be incorporated but it is recommended that dual positions be employed to allow each operator to use their own ITM (Internal Transceiver Module). Tactical Communication Products: C-2000 Control Head PRODUCT DESCRIPTION C-2000 Color Display Controls P-2000 Dual/Master/Slave or RT-2000 Control The Wulfsberg C-2000 is a control display unit that can be used as a slave control head with a P-2000 panel mount transceiver, or as a primary control head for the RT- 2000 remote transceiver. Versions of the C-2000 include black faceplate and options for either Standard or NVG compatible displays. Input voltage is 28 volts DC and the keypad is backlit from either 28 VDC, 5 VDC or 5 VRMS. Tactical Communication Products: RT-2000 Remote Mounted Transceiver PRODUCT DESCRIPTION RT-2000 Remote Mounted Transceivers Single or Dual, Analog/Digital, P-25 Transceivers VHF-Hi, UHF, 800, 700/800 MHz bands The Wulfsberg RT-2000 is a FM Tactical transceiver that incorporates one or two transceiver modules and control functions into a single panel mount unit. Part number variations of the unit exist for the combination of the frequency bands as the P-2000: 137-174 MHz (FCC certification limits the use of the unit to 137 MHz), 403-470 MHz, 450-520 MHz, and 806-870 MHz. Each transceiver module with the exception of the 806-870 MHz band can transmit with 1 or 10 Watts transmit power. The 800 MHz unit produces 1 and 3 watts transmit power. The RT-2000 is designed to be controlled by a C-2000 control display. Multiple C-2000 s can be used for multi-point control of the RT-2000. Input voltage is 28 volts DC and the keypad is backlit from either 28 VDC, 5 VDC or 5 VRMS AC. The RT-2000 transceiver is designed to be rack mounted. Two connectors, a DB- 25 and DB-15 accept all harness wiring on the rear of the RT-2000, while two TNC type RF connectors provide the antenna connection through conventional coaxial cables. For models containing one transceiver, only one antenna port is provided. The RT-2000 consists of functional subassemblies interconnected via standard connectors and ribbon cables. The case of the RT-2000 is designed to be easily disassembled to expose most subassemblies or circuit modules for service. All adjustments to audio levels can be made via software and do not require the disassembly of the box. Tactical Communication Products: C-5000 Control Head Base Model PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The C-5000 Control Head can control and independently monitor any combination of up to three of the following Transceivers: RT-5000, RT-7200, RT-9600(F), RT-30, RT-138(F), RT-118, RT-450, and RT-406F. Two microphone and headset ports allow for simultaneous independent operation of two radio systems. Tactical Communication Products: C-5000 Control Heads P-25 Versions PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The latest series of C-5000 part numbers control the new P-25 compatible versions of the RT-5000 Transceiver and all other Wulfsberg Transceivers. A completely new user interface makes the operation incredibly intuitive while performing even the most complex command and control functions. These new versions of the C-5000 can control one or two Wulfsberg Transceivers. Totally new software now allows for 12-digit Alpha Identifier labels, which makes identifying a channel much simpler. Two microphone and headset ports allow for simultaneous, independent operation of two radio systems. It is capable of controlling the RT-30, RT-118, RT-138, RT-138F, RT-450, and RT-406F model radios. Up to three single band radios may be connected to the C-1000. The C-1000 is a fully frequency-agile Control Unit which allows the pilot to manually dial in a transmit and receive frequency via thumbwheel switches. Tactical Communication Products: Antenna Options Overview Each Flexcomm Transceiver installation requires an antenna. We supply several different antennas for the RT-5000 that cover the whole 29.7 to 960 MHz frequency range of the Transceiver. If antenna height is a critical factor, the AT- 5000 should be specified since it is only 5.5 tall. For the best performance overall, we suggest the 9.5 AT-560. If your application does not require long range operation below 120 MHz, the AT-160 will work very well at considerably lower cost. It is a passive multiband antenna with the same dimensions as the AT-560. The table below shows the antenna options available for each FM tactical Transceiver.
