Page 1 of 5 1 INTRODUCTION This document provides a step by step procedure for installation of C208WS 100 (X) workstation and/or C208WS 100 (X) equipment cabinet installations on Cessna 208 Series aircraft. The instructions contained herein are intended to supplement the information contained on the installation drawings. The workstation and/or equipment cabinet are each individually installed to the existing cargo tracks in the cargo/passenger compartment of Cessna model 208 Series airplanes, aft of the crew seats. 2 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 2.1 C208WS 2300 (X) WORKSTATION: 1. Reference drawing C208WS 110, confirm the weight and C.G. of the workstation assembly is within limits as equipped. 2. Place the workstation assembly in the aircraft cabin through the cargo door. 3. Temporarily install provided handles on workstation opposite wheels as shown in Figure 1 and position the workstation in the desired location. The wheels are designed to roll down the center of the cargo tracks to aid in positioning of the workstation. 4. Six or nine track fittings will be found in the bottom plate of the workstation, (refer to drawing for each configuration). Ensure that the fittings are installed to match the corresponding cargo track rails for left side or right side installations. Reference drawing views to install fittings in the proper row to match the spacing of the rails. NOTE: A wedge of non marring material along the seat tracks may be used as an alignment aid. 5. Loosen the nuts on the track fittings with locking plates parallel with the cargo track rails as shown on the drawing. Position the fitting in the rail slot; ensure the fitting stud is fully seated in the cargo track. The fittings are designed to be self locating in the rail for correct installation. 6. Set the workstation onto the track fittings and ensure that the workstation is square to the rails. Verify that the fittings locking feature is properly seated, this will prevent forward aft movement of the workstation. 7. Remove the temporarily installed handles and work aids. 8. Torque each track fitting nut to value specified on the drawing. 9. Install passenger s seat per Cessna maintenance and flight manual instructions as applicable. NOTE: Reference the C208B Pilots Operating Manual figure 6 11, sheet 3 and installation drawings as a guide. For left side workstation installation, it is recommended to install a
Page 2 of 5 right hand side seat on the outboard two left side seat rails. Conversely, for right side workstation installations, it is recommended to install an existing left hand seat on the outboard two right side seat rails. This helps center the operator on the workstation desk. 10. Verify that the aircraft weight and balance is within certificated limitations with the workstation as equipped in the chosen location. 2.2 C208WS 2350 1EQUIPMENT CABINET: 1. Reference drawing C208WS 112, confirm the weight and C.G. of the cabinet is within limits as equipped. 2. Repeat steps 2 through 8 above, substituting the C208WS 2350 1 cabinet where the C208WS 2300 (X) workstation is specified. Note that the cabinet is designed to enable choice of orientation and location (installation across the 9.5 width or 14 width seat track rails). 3. Verify that the aircraft weight and balance is within certificated limitations with the equipment cabinet as equipped in the chosen location.
