Elizabeth is also living with her mother in the 1870 Hummelstown Dauphin County Pennsylvania. We lost track of Elizabeth after that. xii It is possible that there was no marriage to McCartney, and it was a case of fornication and bastardy. xiii ix. Sarah E. Cornpropst was born July 18 th 1839. She lived with the family in 1850, but not in 1860, and she never married. Typically, fornication and bastardy laws went hand in hand, as in most instances a case of bastardy did not exist without individuals having committed fornication. xiv Brick Church is also where Jeremiah and Mary McCartney are buried at the cemetery is known in 2015 as the Enola Cemetery, 265 North Enola Drive in Enola, Cumberland County Pennsylvania. xv Find-A-Grave, FAG, is a web site for cemetery memorials, http://www.findagrave.com xvi Brick Church is also where Jeremiah and Mary McCartney are buried at the cemetery is known in 2015 as the Enola Cemetery, 265 North Enola Drive in Enola, Cumberland County Pennsylvania. xvii Find-A-Grave, FAG, is a web site for cemetery memorials, http://www.findagrave.com xviii The name John appeared on his daughter, Clara Belle Cornpropst s, marriage application, but the name William was on her death certificate.
