PureRest Organics Organic Pillows & Pillow Covers Our PureRest organic pillows are made in the U.S.A. of certified organic unbleached, undyed and untreated cotton, certified organic Woolie Balls, certified organically processed EcoWool from organically raised sheep, certified organic wool, all-natural kapok, non-toxic 100% natural rubber latex and cotton/poly thread (for strength). Your pillow is typically the closest thing to your nose for the entire night, so having an organic pillow instead of a synthetic pillow full of chemicals makes a lot of sense! No matter what feel you like for your pillow, we have something you will love! Back and tummy sleepers usually like the light fill pillows. Side sleepers typically prefer regular fill unless they have really broad shoulders, in which case heavy fill is probably best. Our shredded rubber with damask outer and our kapok pillows are machine washable and dryable, which is great for kids or anyone that likes to clean their pillow regularly. Our rubber and all of our wool pillows are dust mite resistant, so they are great for people with dust mite allergies even without a barrier cover. All-Natural Kapok Pillows Kapok (Kay-pock) is the silky fiber from the seed pod of the Ceiba Pentandra tree from Southeast Asia, South American, and Tropical West Africa. It s grown without chemicals and has a heavenly soft and silky feel. Plush, squeezable and durable, kapok is feels the closest to down of all of our pillows, but kapok doesn t compress as much as down and is hypoallergenic. Certified Organic Woolie Ball Pillows These pillows are made with tiny balls of certified organic wool for a firm but flexible pillow that you can shape to fit your head and neck. Organic Cotton Barrier Cover for Pillows If you have dust mite allergies and a pillow that is attractive to dust mites, then this is the cover for you! If you have one of our PureRest wool or natural rubber latex pillows, you are unlikely to need a barrier cover unless your allergy is particularly severe since these pillows are very dust mite resistant. Kapok and cotton pillows are attractive to dust mites, so a barrier cover is important if you have allergies! Our barrier covers are made in the U.S.A. from certified organic barrier fabric imported from Germany. The barrier cloth is so tightly woven that the dust mite allergens cannot penetrate it, and we use a plastic zipper that is tight enough between the teeth to keep those nasty critters out. Most other barrier covers are synthetic, which means non-breathable (not good for an organic mattress), rough to the touch and often including plastic or other chemicals.
