O L D H I L L I R O N W O R K S Welcome to Old Hill Ironworks High Quality Black Antique Ironmongery Our history In just a few years time, we will celebrate 100 years of manufacturing in the Black Country. With over 90 years experience, creating stunning ironwork to the highest quality in the heart of the Black Country, where it all started in the 1920s. Our name A family business, based in Cradley Heath, we have never strayed far from where it all began over four generations ago. We started at the Ironworks in Old Hill and our range is named the same, maintaining the traditions of quality manufacturing forged there over 90 years ago. Why choose us? We are specialists in black architectural ironmongery, offering an extensive high-quality range of door furniture, from door knockers and knobs to hinges, hooks and handles. We honestly beleive our quality is second to none, above all others in the market. The durability of our products comes from the expertise of our team, manufacturing a product they are proud of. Only using quality malleable iron when the components are cast, protected with a high-density zinc rich coating and then using a strong and robust first use UV colour fast black powder coating we give the architectural ironmongery a superior industry leading finish. Our people More than 80 people form the team here. Tradition and family values are a core strength. We have fathers, fathers sons and their sons and daughters working with us passing skills from generation to generation. Barry, now approaching his 80 s, has been with us for over 58 years. An indication of the depth of manufacturing skills and knowledge we carry. Exceptional quality Our manufacturing process uses extremely durable premium quality solid malleable cast iron base metal, which is shot blasted before the protective coatings are applied. A zinc rich protective powder coating is then used, followed by a premium grade UV colour fast finish. Finally, our products are Salt Spray tested for over 700 hours, far greater than is given to other manufacturers products. The use of extremely high grade materials and thorough testing processes help make Old Hill Ironworks one of the most superior, reliable names on todays market. Exceptional guarantee The use of precision engineered components; cams, washers and springs, manufactured from Stainless Steel, increases durability and endurance. Our malleable cast iron has the best shock resistance and is ductile, with mechanical properties of elasticity and impact strength, making it the ideal material for use in this high quality range. The powder coating process creates a premium decorative antique black finish which will protect your product for a lifetime. Fixings Flat and raised head screws are black passivated stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance and durability Mechanism 32 Stainless steel mechanism, spring, washers and cams offer increased durability and endurance, allowing for a softer and more progressive lever operation
