Figure 1 frame mounting slot frame assembly top cap frame stacking device frame base glide side rail interlock bracket End Frame Assembly Loft and bunk bed assemblies require a pair of frames at each of the assembly. The pair of frames must be connected with two stacking devices. Base glides (with hole in center) must be attached at bottom where frames meet floor. Place top caps (solid) on upper openings of frames (Figure 1). Single bed assemblies require one frame at each with top caps and base glides (with hole in center) installed as described. Side Rail & Lower Reinforcement Assembly for Loft Beds (For Loft Beds with Megasurface see Page 5) Holding one of frame assembly, attach one side rail to frame by sliding interlock bracket (with hooks downward) into mounting slot in frame. Press down to secure. Repeat procedure with frame at other of assembly. Install the second side rail in the same way making sure both rails are at the same height. Install the lower reinforcement in the same way, near the floor with finished side facing inward (Figure 2). Lower reinforcement is not required for bunk bed installations. For bunk beds, install lower side rails same as above. lower reinforcement Figure 2 3

End & Middle Stringer Assembly Slide tongues of and middle s into belt loops on inside of side rails. End s must be positioned so that higher vertical edge faces out at front and back of bed assembly (Figure 3). middle tongue side rail belt loop Bed Deck Assembly Bed deck requires that three deck boards be set in place between side rails and be supported by middle and s. Slide in outside boards first, followed by center bed deck board (Figure 4). Figure 3 bed deck board (center) bed deck board (outside) middle Figure 4 4

Assemble two sets of frames as described on page 3. 2. Stand up both frame sets and hang the mega tackboard between them (Figure 5). The mega tackboard has teeth spaced 2 apart so that they can fit around the stacking device collar. 3. Hang one of a side rail into one of the frames at the desired height. Apply outward pressure to the frames to force them apart. The other of the side rail can now be inserted into the opposite frame. Repeat this procedure for the second side rail. 4. Hang one right and one left worksurface support bracket on the frames opposite the mega tackboard. Make sure the top of the brackets are at the same height as the flange of the mega tackbaord (Figure 5). 5. Place the megasurface halves on top of the appropriate right and left worksurface support brackets and flange of the mega tackboard. Fasten the worksurface halves to the support brackets and flange with eight thumb s (Figure 5). 6. Join the worksurface halves with one splice plate and four thumb s. 7. Route the power cord of the power & data module (optional) down through the hole in the worksurface. Snap the module into place and check for proper operation. 8. See page 4 for and bed deck assembly. Drop-Leaf Surface 1. Position both the drop-leaf surface and the hang-on worksurface face down on a soft protective surface. The worksurface edges should be touching and the front and rear edges of both should be flush. 2. Center the piano hinge over the seam where the worksurfaces meet. Using the hinge as a template, mark the holes onto both worksurfaces. Remove the hinge and drill 1 / 8 diameter pilot holes. Take care not to drill too deep, piercing through the surface. Keeping the two worksurfaces together, attach the piano hinge to both with twenty-four #8 x 1 s (Figure 6). 3. Position the anchor bracket on the center of the hang-on worksurface, 2 back from the seam of the two surfaces. Mark the nine holes through the bracket and carefully drill 1 / 8 diameter pilot holes. Attach the bracket to the hang-on worksurface with nine #10 x 1 s (Figure 6). 4. Secure the drop leaf arm to the anchor bracket as illustrated with two #8-32 x 3 / 8 s (Figure 6). 5. With the drop-leaf arm fully exted, rotate it onto the drop-leaf surface. Apply downward pressure to the arm and mark the mounting holes on the surface. Carefully drill 1 / 8 diameter pilot holes. Secure the arm to the drop-leaf surface with two #10 x 1 s. When installing the arm, make sure that enough support is supplied by the arm to keep the drop-leaf surface from sagging (Figure 6). 6. Carefully follow instructions on page 6 to install the hang-on worksurface to the bed frame. 5
