William J. Hoffman, JD / CEO & Chairman of the Board Bill Hoffman is Chairman of the Board of Trigild Holdings, a San Diego-based company he founded in 1976. He has over 36 years experience as an attorney admitted to both California and New York Bar Associations, is a California licensed real estate broker and has served as the court appointed Receiver and bankruptcy trustee for over 2,000 businesses and properties. Recent appointments have included a ATM sale-leaseback Ponzi scheme, a food processing plant, a tenants-incommon syndication company, a waterpark, and hundreds of many restaurants, hotels, commercial office buildings, retail shopping centers and residential projects. Mr. Hoffman is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association, and the American Lodging Industry Association and served on the California Tourism Selection Committee. He is also an Adjunct Professor at San Diego State University teaching Hospitality Law, a frequent lecturer at conferences and conventions for bankers, hoteliers, and lawyers and was instrumental in developing the annual Trigild Lender Conference, an increasingly important national forum for the financial industry. Mr. Hoffman authored the Trigild Deskbook a state-by-state guide to receivership and bankruptcy laws and has written hundreds of articles for numerous legal, finance, hospitality, real estate, business, and general publications. David Wallace, JD / General Counsel David Wallace heads Trigild s Dallas office and oversees Trigild s entire legal team in court-ordered receiverships for assets across the nation, successfully resolving distressed loans and preserving assets as a court-appointed fiduciary. Mr. Wallace has experience leading a team of real estate asset managers, property managers, property accountants, accounting firms, and law firms in a bankruptcy liquidation of interests in a real estate portfolio that includes more than 100 companies with equity and other management entities. The portfolio, valued at over $1.6 billion, includes assets in the multi-family, student housing, and retail asset classes. Mr. Wallace also leads the legal team on a number of other fiduciary assignments, in bankruptcy, state, and federal courts. He has extensive experience in workouts related to CMBS and balance sheet loans, as well as transactions involving private equity, REITs, and sovereign wealth funds. Further, Mr. Wallace has overseen and served as lead counsel in a number of fraudulent transfer actions with ultimate recoveries in the tens of millions of dollars. Wallace holds a B.B.A in Finance from Texas Christian University and a J.D. from Southern Methodist University. Prior to joining Trigild, Mr. Wallace worked as a financial analyst and also as an attorney with Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP for a number of years. At Fulbright, Mr. Wallace represented a broad range of clients in both litigation and transactional matters. Mr. Wallace also represented a number of master and special servicers in connection with CMBS loan transactions and workouts. Clients included pharmaceutical and device manufacturers, banks, oil and gas companies, and other Fortune 500 companies across an array of industries. Mr. Wallace has extensive court room experience as well, trying more than 20 cases to a guilty verdict in jury trials on behalf of the City of Plano. Aaron J. Kudla, J.D., C.P.A / Senior Legal Counsel Aaron Kudla is an essential part of Trigild s Legal Team in court-ordered receivership and bankruptcy trustee appointments. He provides legal, forensic accounting, real estate and taxation advice on Trigild matters, including a current bankruptcy liquidating trustee appointment over a real estate portfolio that includes more than 100 companies with equity and/or management interests in 45 commercial and multi-family properties located throughout the United States and valued at more than $1.6B. The unique skillset Mr. Kudla brings to Trigild makes him highly cost-effective in cases involving complex real estate Ponzi schemes, lender fraud, embezzlement, valuation, money laundering and other fraud cases. Mr. Kudla has advised clients dealing with Ponzi schemes involving fraudulent mortgages sold to investors for commercial real estate and fraudulent ownership of development companies building multiple residential housing projects.
