Instruction Sheet 860446194 Issue 2, March 2013 CW-Type Wall Mounted Cabinets Installation Instructions General CommScope wall mount cabinets are available in 24-inch (610mm), 36-inch (914mm) and 48-inch (1219mm) heights and in a heavy duty or light duty version with a variety of options to meet your specific network needs. The cabinets are shipped fully assembled and feature standard EIA-310-E compliant equipment mounting in a 20-inch (508mm) deep cabinet. The cabinet swing-out feature facilitates front to rear access for quick changes and maintenance. The front door is reversible via a quick pin release and is available with Plexi-glass window or solid steel. The light duty front doors are reversible hinge right or hinge left depending on space requirements. The rear section provides both 1-inch (25mm) and 3-inch (76mm) knockouts located at the top and bottom for wiring, installation and maintenance. The wall mount cabinet can be purchased with solid or vented top and sides or with pre-mounted 120V, 110 CFM fans. Front and rear sections lock independently for added security. 860446194 Issue 2, March 2013 Wall Mounted Cabinet Features Mounting Space Requirements Before installing your cabinet, plan the location and arrangement of components within the cabinet based on the available space. The cabinet must have enough clearance to completely swing open and clear obstacles as shown below. It is important that the wall surface the cabinet will be mounted on is completely flat so the cabinet will open and close properly. Page 3 of 6

860446194 Instruction Sheet Step 1 - Mount the Cabinet Light Duty and Heavy Duty Series Cabinet It is important that the wall surface the cabinet will be mounted on is completely flat so that once secured, the cabinet will open and close properly. If required, it may be necessary to shim the rear section to compensate for an uneven wall surface. Note: Eight keyhole cutouts on the rear section will accommodate up to 1/2-inch mounting bolts. The holes are on standard 16-inch (406mm) and 12-inch (305mm) centers horizontally. Mounting hardware is not provided and must be obtained locally. WARNING: Fastening hardware must meet load requirement of 300 lbs (136Kg) for heavy duty cabinet and 125 lbs (57Kg) for light duty cabinet. WARNING: Use at least two people during lifting and installation of cabinet. Page 4 of 6

860446194 Issue 2, March 2013 Heavy Duty Series Cabinet 1. Unlock the lock securing center section to rear section and open cabinet. 2. Detach rear section from center section by releasing detachable hinges. To do this, push down on rear section while pulling up on center section. 3. Position the rear section against the wall and level it using a bubble level at desired height. Mark the location of the holes desired for mounting screws and drill pilot holes if required. 4. Mount rear section using appropriate grade, type and diameter of fastening hardware depending on wall type cabinet is being mounted on. 5. Reinstall the main cabinet back onto the rear section and close. 6. The cabinet is now ready to cable and populate with equipment. Detachable hinges Page 5 of 6

860446194 Instruction Sheet Light Duty Series Cabinet Note: The light duty cabinet does not have a removable rear section and the entire cabinet must be held in place to mark the four mounting holes. Refer to dimensions on Page 4. 1. Unlock the lock securing center section to rear section and open. 2. Position open cabinet against the wall at desired height and level it using a bubble level. 3. Mark the location at the four mounting holes desired for mounting screws and drill pilot holes if required. 4. Mount rear section using appropriate grade, type and diameter of fastening hardware depending on wall type cabinet is being mounted on. WARNING: Make sure cabinet is fully secured to wall before releasing. 5. Close center section of wall mount cabinet. The cabinet is now ready to cable and populate with equipment. Step 2 Adjust Cabinet Rail (Optional) This section explains how to adjust the equipment mounting rails in the cabinet to accommodate particular components. The cabinet comes with the equipment mounting rails set at 3 inches (76mm) from the front of the housing. If adjustments are needed, they can be made using a 7/16 wrench to loosen the 1/4-20 bolts at the top and bottom of the mounting rail. Slide mounting rails as required and tighten 1/4-20 bolts securely. Page 6 of 6
