Boy s pram sets 7-12 doll Materials (for either suit) 7-8 Doll Approx 40g of 3 ply yarn (US: fingering) Needles: One pair of 2 ¼ mm(uk 13)(US 1) 9-10 Doll Approx 65g of 4 ply yarn (US: sport) Needles: One pair of 3 ¼ mm(uk 10)(US 3) and one pair of 2 ¾ mm(uk 12)(US 2) 11-12 Doll Approx 85g of DK yarn (US: light worsted) All three sizes 3 small buttons Shirring elastic Small length of 3mm ribbon for boot bows approx 0.5m (for one suit) Embellishments Needles: One pair of 3 ¼ mm(uk10) (US 3)and one pair of 4 mm(uk 8) (US 6) Abbreviations K: knit P: purl G-st: garter stitch St-st: Stocking stitch Dec: decrease Inc: increase by knitting into front and back of stitch Sl 1: slip next stitch Psso: Pass slipped stitch(es) over C2B: Knit into back of 2 nd st on needle, then K 1 st st, slipping both sts off needle at same time. Dec 1 st at neck edge of next 3 rows (8sts) Work 2 further rows in st-st. Cast off. Sleeves Using larger needles cast on 28sts. Work 28 rows in patt as for back. Neckband Join shoulder seams. Using smaller needles pick up and K 10 sts up right front, K across 9sts of back and pick up and K 10 sts down left front. Work 3 rows in g- st. cast off. Buttonband K 34 sts evenly along left front edge from top of neckband to bottom of front. Work 3 rows in g- st. Cast off Buttonhole band K 34 sts evenly along right front edge bottom of front to top of neckband. Work 3 rows in g-st working button holes as follows on 2 nd row: K22, (yfwd, K2tog, K3) twice, yfwd, K2tog. Sew sleeves into place. Join sleeve and side seams. Sew buttons onto buttonband to correspond to holes in buttonhole band. Add any desired embellishments I added a teddy to each chest front. Trousers Right leg and work 3 rows in g-st. Increase K2, *inc in next st, rep from * to last 2 sts, K2 (36sts) 1 st row: *K3, P3, rep from * to 3 rd row: P1, *K3, P3 rep from * to last 5 sts, K3, P2 5 th row: P2, *K3, P3, rep from * 7 th row: *P3, K3, rep from * to 9 th row: P2, *K3, P3, rep from * 11 th row: P1, *K3, P3 rep from * to last 5 sts, K3, P2 12 th (alt) row: P Repeat these 12 rows once more. **You may wish to work extra rows here, especially for larger dolls in DK. Check your leg length and work further rows in pattern if required. End with a ws row and continue as follows** Break yarn. Leave sts on holder or safety pin. Place marker at outside edge of last row. Left leg and work 3 rows in g-st. (72 sts) Work in patt for 18 rows. *P1, P2tog rep from * to (48sts) Change to smaller needles and work 4 rows of K1, P1 rib. Cast off in rib. Join back seam of body from rib to crotch and markers. Sew leg seams to bottom. Using shirring elastic thread through waistband to elasticate as desired. Shoes Using larger needles cast on 15 sts. K2 rows. Work 2 rows in st-st starting with a K row. Shape instep 3

Next row: K 9, turn Next row: P 3 turn Work 4 rows in st-st on these 3 sts. Break yarn. Cont from 6 sts on rh needle and pick up and K 3 sts along side of instep, across 3 sts of instep, pick up and K 3 sts down other side of instep and across rem 6 sts. Add ribbon bow to front of shoe if desired. Hat Using smaller needles cast on 44sts and work 13 rows in 1x1 rib. Keeping patt correct cast off 1 st at beg of next 2 rows. (26sts) Work 14 rows in pattern. Shape shoulders Cast off 8 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Leave rem 10 sts on holder. Left front Using larger needles cast on 12 sts. Work 4 rows in g-st. Cont in patt as for back for 16 rows. Cast off 1 st at beg of next row. (11 sts). Work 8 rows in patt. Cont in patt as for back inc 1 st at each of 1 st and every foll 4 th row until there are 24 sts, taking extra sts into patt. Work a further 5 rows. Neckband Join shoulder seams. Using smaller needles pick up and K 8 sts up right front neck, K across 10sts of back and pick up and K 8 sts down left front neck. Work 3 rows in g-st. cast off. Buttonband K 25 sts evenly along left front edge from top of neckband to bottom of front. Work 3 rows in g- st. Cast off Buttonhole band K 25 sts evenly along right front edge bottom of front to top of neckband. Work 3 rows in g-st working button holes as follows on 2 nd row: K3, yfwd, K2tog, K7, yfwd, K2tog, K7, K2tog, yfwd, K2. Hat Earflaps (x2) Using smaller needles cast on 4sts and work 24 rows in K1, P1 rib. Keeping rib patt correct inc 1 st at each of next and every foll alt row until there are 10sts. Work 1 row. Keep first earflap knitted on spare needle. Do not break yarn of 2 nd flap and continue with hat as follows: Main Hat Using smaller needles and working from earflap cast on 5sts. K across sts of the earflap. Turn and cast on 10sts. Turn and K across other earflap. Turn and cast on 5 sts. (40sts) Change to larger needles and work 4 rows in g-st. 1 st row: *K2, P2, rep from * to. Work a further 6 rows in patt. 1 st row: K3, *K2tog, K4 rep from * to last st, K1 (34sts) 3 rd row: K3, *K2tog, K3, rep from * to last st, K1 (28sts) 5 th row: K3, *K2tog, K2, rep from * to last st, K1 (22sts) 7 th row: K3, *K2tog, K1, rep from * to last st, K1 (16sts) 8 th row(alt): *P2tog, rep from * to (8sts) Cut yarn, leaving a long enough thread to sew back seam. Thread wool through remaining sts and pull up tightly and fasten. Using this wool sew seam from centre to bottom edge. If desired make small pompom or tassel and sew on centre top of hat. Sew on motif or decorative button if desired to centre front. Shoes Using smaller needles cast on 15 sts. K2 rows. Work 2 rows in st-st starting with a K row. Shape instep Next row: K 9, turn Next row: P 3 turn Work 4 rows on these 3 sts. Break yarn. Cont from 6 sts on rh needle and pick up and K 3 sts along side of instep, across 3 sts of instep, pick up and K 3 sts down other side of instep and across rem 6 sts. (21sts) Next row: K8, inc in next st, K3, inc in next st, K to. (23sts) Work 4 rows in g-st. Work 4 rows in st-st starting K. Next row: *K first st on needle together with corresponding st of first row worked in st-st 4 rows below, cont from * to. This tuck effect creates a sole edge. Shape sole 1 st row: K 3, *K2tog, K2 rep from * to last 4 sts, K4 (19sts) 2 nd row: K2tog, K5, K2tog, K1, K2tog, K5, K2tog (15sts) Sew sole seam and back seam to complete shoe.
