How do you adjust the camera angle on the tripod? o Knob handle Tripod: loosen the knobs, move the tripod head, tighten o Screw Handle Tripod: Turn the handles, move the tripod head, tighten 10. How does the bubble level help you adjust the tripod? It tells you when the camera is level. The bubble needs to be in the center. 11. What do you need to do to straighten the camera area at the end of class? With the camera: turn it off, close it up. With the tripod: Push it back against the wall under the hook that holds the wire With the wires Put all wires on correct hook 12. What are the two reasons you should never turn the LCD screen around? You cannot see your shot and the LCD panel might break 13. Where does the charger plug into on the camera Plug the charger into the back of the camera by the battery.

Which volume sliders have to be up so you can hear anything connected? The two Main Mix volume sliders on the far right of the audio mixer 6.. How do you go to a different CD on the CD player? select the number the CD is in (left side) 7. How do you change the track of the cd on the cd player? Use the arrow keys on the right side of the audio mixer to move to different tracks 8. How do you turn the wired mics on In the studio? On/off switch In the control room? unmute, raise volume sliders 9. Where do the wired mics connect o in the studio? Into a wired mic jack o In the control room? Into the audio mixing board 10. You can tell which number each mic is by the number on the mic jack

11. What 2 changes do you have to make on the mixing board to use the wired mics? Push the volume sliders above the U, turn the trim knobs past the 12:00 position. 12. Where is the mute button? Above each volume slider 13. What should talent say when you do a mic check? Countdown from 10 in a normal voice. The mic should NOT be close to their mouth. What are you listening for? same volume level from each mic 14. Why don t we wrap the wires around the mics when putting them away? Too much tension will break the wire where it enters the microphone 15. Where does the sound for the audio come out of in the control room? The preview monitor What should the volume be set at on? 30, so what we record isn t too loud or too soft 16. Use Mark start (and mark end), position key, then the arrow keys 10. If the text goes off the screen when you are typing, what should you do? There is too much on next line. You have to put some on the next line or make the font smaller 11. How do you move text from one page to the next without retyping it? Use mark start (and mark end) around the text you want to move, go to the page you want to move it to, and use the move button upper right on keyboard 12. How do you apply formatting (make everything look the same) to a group of pages in a project? Put mark start and mark end around everything you want to change, and change it 13. How do you release the character generator ( let go ) from the recording screen? Use the OK key enter button. What is a tape log? A tape log is like a table of contents for the tape 11. What three pieces of information do you need?

You need the date, what you recorded and how long you recorded for each time 12. Which vcr tapes does your class use? You can always use the junk tape for practice and then the tape that is marked with your period 13. How should you put the tape back into the tape case? With the label facing out, door of the tape facing in Why?? So you don t pull on the door of the tape and break it when you take it out of the case 14. What is a junk tape? A practice tape you don t need to use a tape log for 15. What three things do you have to put away and turn off when you shut down the VCR area? Take tapes out and put them away with the tape log if you were using it, turn off the VCR monitor and turn off both VCRS using the remotes only
