For community and charity activities, CCB (Asia) has provided full support in sponsoring and organizing large-scale charity fundraising events such as Lifeline Express CCB (Asia) Charity Run/Walk 2011 and Bringing Our Children a Brighter Future Our Joyful Era Affiliated Youth Development Program 2011. Besides, its corporate volunteer team has devoted a total of nearly 900 hours in volunteer services, participating in fundraising walkathon, elderly people visit, charity bazaar, grand entertainment show performance, Christmas Carol Singing Festival of Child Development Matching Fund and more, benefiting approximately 7,300 people. To promote harmonic family life and let the employees experience the importance of work-life balance, CCB (Asia) has prepared heartfelt gifts, art-jamming and pâtisserie baking classes for its staff, encouraging them to spend quality time with families and enhance parent-children relationship during festivals. A Work-Life Balance Week was also organized to offer daily treats for 5 consecutive days which included fruits and food, live band music, professional massage, workplace carnival, and more to its staff to build a harmonic and joyful workplace. Followed closely was the launch of Wellness Corner, an online platform which supplied its staff body care and stress relief tips, smart eating recipes, and the latest news on health, diet and more. First time ever, the organizer threw in a rainbow carnival after the charity run and walk at the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club, providing game booths and special performance for participants and volunteers to spend a joyful weekend with their family members and friends. CCB (Asia) corporate volunteer team took part in the Amazing Charity Walkathon 2011 to raise funds for the children-andyouth services provided by BGCA. The activity also let the staff relax their body and mind through sports. In August 2011, CCB (Asia) participated in the flag-selling activity organized by the Against Child Abuse, raising funds for the advocation of violent-free growing environment for children. Over 200 staff of CCB (Macau) and their family members participated in The 28th Walk For A Million held in December 2011, in Macau, letting them do exercise through walkathon while raising funds for charity organization.
