Quantec. INTRDUCTIN At the request f Winterad Resurces Ltd.. Trnt, N. Quantec IP Inc. (QIP), f Waterdwn N. cnducted a mutipe gradient/reasectin IP/Resistivity gephysica surveys at the Winterad Prperty, in September-ctber, 995. The Winterad Prperty is situated near the Twn f Mathesn, in Garrisn Twnship ( See Figure ). The prject was carried ut under the directin f Mr. Jhn Mses, f Winterad Resurces Ltd.. The survey bjectives were the fwing:. T cate and deineate suphide cncentratins hsted in subvertica structures (e.g. the Ludgate Lake shear and Buffrrta/Tumer Lake shear) at depths up t 500 feet. 2. T further deineate suphide cncentratins hsted in shaw dipping structures ccurring within these subvertica shear structures. The ReaSectin technique was adpted based n its high resutin and deep penetratin characteristics. The "ReaSectin* survey design uses mutipe gradient arrays - with variabe depths f investigatin cntred by successive changes in array size/gemetry. The methd f data acquisitin and the 'ReaSectin* presentatin are based n the specificatins deveped by Dr. Perparim Aikaj, f the Pytechnic University f Tirana. Abania, ver the curse f 0 years f appicatin. This technique has been further deveped fr appicatin in Canada during the past fur years, in assciatin with Mr. Dennis Mrrisn, president f Quantec IP Inc. This reprt utines the survey technique used, the gephysica wrk undertaken and presents the fina data resuts and pts. A summary interpretatin is as incude t satisfy DM requirements fr mining assessment credits. France. The unit is a prtabe, micrprcessr-cntred acquisitin system capabe f simutaneusy measuring six dipes. Gemetric parameters, time parameters, intensity f current, array types and statin numbers are fuy prgrammabe. Fr each dipe, the unit measures r cacuates the sef-ptentia (Sp - mv), primary vtage (Vp - mv), apparent resistivity (pa - 0-m), the secndary vtage decay ver ten time sices, and the tta apparent chargeabiity (M - mv/v). A prgrammed parameters, and measured and cacuated vaues are stred in sid state memry. Its apprximate weight, incuding rechargeabe batteries, is 2 Ib. The MK-4 variabe frequency transmitter was empyed (maximum utput vtage 3200 vts, weight 90 Ib.) in cnjunctin with an MK-4 generatr and pwerparrt, cnsisting f a Westinghuse 0 kva, 3-phase, 400 Hz. aternatr cuped t a 25 H.P. Kher mtr-generatr (350 Ib.). Bth units are manufactured by Huntec Systems, f Scarbrugh, Canada. The system prvided a stabe, reguated current (5 amps maximum) at either an 8 secnd r 6 secnd perid, with a 50 percent (time dmain puse) duty cyce. The E-fiekJ signa (AVsE.d) is cected using end-n dipes, cnsisting f 8-gauge cpper wire cnnected t grunded stainess stee eectrdes. Stainess stee eectrdes cnnected via 0 gauge cpper wire were used fr current injectin cntacts. Eectrde cntacts were watered with saturated CaCI sutin in rder t imprve the cntact resistance. Transmitted currents between 50 t 2900 miiamperes were achieved. UnkJen VHP-band radis prvided cmmunicatin inks fr the crew in the fied. A measured vaues were rutiney stred in the receiver's sid state memry, and at the end f each survey day, the IP-6 was interfaced with an Utinet Prtabe micr-cmputer (486DX-66) and the data transferred t disk fr strage and prcessing. Reprt-quaity fied pts were generated n site, using a 24-pin cur printer, t mnitr the data quaity and t prvide a preiminary interpretatin capabiity.

Quantec The induced parizatin survey impemented the gradient eectrde cnfiguratin, using a dipe "a" spacing (MN) f 00 feet and current dides (AB) ranging frm 900 t 9700 feet. The receiver array cnsisted 6 end-n dipes, ttaing 600 feet in ength, and the prfies were surveyed using the r-ang technique. The 6 end-n dipes cnsisted f 7 receiving prus pt eectrde, fied with a saturated cpper suphate sutin, that are in turn cnnected t the receiver (Rx) with cpper wire. Up t nineteen thusand three hundred (9,300) ine-feet f cverage were surveyed per fied day. 3.5 Difficuties encuntered and accuracy f measurement The quaity f measurements in the fied was csey mnitred during the curse f the survey in rder t detect any weaknesses, either technica r natura, which cud have affected the quaity f the data recrded. vera, the survey prgressed deiberatey and efficienty, as evidenced in the high prductin eves. Lw signa strengths, resuting frm pr current eectrde cntacts, frced the changing f AB engths n September 27 - despite the ss f /2 day, this prduced an increase f 2. t 2.9 amperes and better signa t nise. Lw signa strengths at the nset f IP-Bck II (0/4) resuted in the day's data being cmpetey discarded, and repeated with a smaer AB and with a shrter (2 sec. versus 4 sec.) N/FF timing - thereby prducing greaty reduced nise eves. Finay, as a resut f negative chargeabiities, severa prfies were surveyed using crss-diptes t mnitr current channeing effects, n Sept. 26, 29, 30, and ct. 7, 995 - hwever, n appreciabe ss in prductivity is nted. vera, a repeatabiity f apprximatey 'K fr the primary vtage, and 0.5 mv/v fr the chargeabiity were easiy maintained thrughut the curse f the survey. In genera, the exceent data quaity is evidenced by the w standard errrs f measurement and high repeatabiity -as we-shwn in the smth nature f the stacked prfie pan presentatin. 3.6 Data prcessing and Presentatin f Resuts nce the data have been cected in the fied, the receiver is interfaced with a micr cmputer and the raw fied data is transferred nt diskette fr further reductin. Quantec 4.0 SUMMARY INTERPRETATIN The mutipe gradierrt/reasectin induced parizatin/resistivity surveys at Winterad Prperty prvided a physica characterizatin f the geetectric parameters f the grid area, frm surface t apprximatey 500 ft depths. The survey was designed t prvide regina recnnaissance, and high-resutin IP/Resistivity cverage thrugh the eastern and western prtins f the prperty, using tw arge gradient rectanges (IP Bck and II, respectivey), which were verapped ver the center fr a tta f nineteen prfies (9). Subsequent anmaus signatures were fwed up using fur (4) ReaSectin arrays. The majr ENE-WSW t NE-SW geetectric grain bserved in the pan-view apparent resistivity and chargeabiity maps agrees with the regina gegic strike, and the rientatin f majr structura cmpnents inferred gegicay - ntaby the Ludgate Lake Shear and the Destr Prcupine Faut Zne (cated nrth f Winterad), respectivey. T a esser extent, a NW-SE grain is as visibe in the nrthern haves f the IP/Resistivity pan maps, which is pssiby reated t the Buffnta-Tumer Shear. Variatins in verburden appear t have itte expressin in the Rea-Sectin resuts - even at sma AB's. The Winterad IP/Resistivity signature is characterized by generay mderate t high resistivities (500-30R hm-m) and w t mderate chargeabiities (3-5 mv/v) which are generay cnsistent with mafic t intermediate vcanic rcks, which are indicated t underie the prperty - athugh the areas f unusuay high resistivities t the SE suggest a pssibe quartz/siicic ateratin cmpnent, cay. Mst striking hwever, is the marked NW-t-SE trending increase in buk resistivities and chargeabiities bserved in the pan maps - with a sharp NE cntact extending frm 2000S/2000W and 600N/0+E which has nt, as yet, been identified in gegic cmpiatins, but appears t mark the eastern extent f knwn mineraizatin. Athugh the IP and Resistivity trend is as in genera agreement with the vera thinning f verburden t the SE, as a rue, the infuence f gemrphgy is nt usuay significant in Gradient IP resuts at argest AB spacings. Furthermre, the nticeabe difference in the vera psitin f the break between Bck and II, is very unusua and characteristicay dentes a bedrck effect. The IP/Resistivity resuts, therefre, appear t suggest that this structure defines a majr gegic/cmpsitina r gechemtca/ateratin bundary f significant interest. f greatest interest, in the Winterad survey is the definitin f a regin f increased chargeabiity (s-imv/v) and increased resistivity (M k hm-m) ccumng in the suth-eastern cmer f the prperty - immediatey east f the majr break described abve. This brad NE- SW trending anmaus zne appears pens twards the NE and SW, beynd the current survey cverage. Within this brad anmaus zne, severa prminent parizeabte ENE and SE ineaments are bserved - sme f which have been further characterized in the ReaSectins. f particuar interest, is the IP/Resistivity signature f the EW Ludgate Lake Shear, which crss-cuts the prperty near BL+N. This zne is characterized by a sharp decrease in the apparent resistivities and a brader increase in chargeabiity - suggesting an pen faut-fracture zne with attendant increase in disseminated suphides - as evidenced in diamnd driing infrmatin. The ReaSectin cverage reveas the fwing: * Ang 8+N, the ReaSectin identifies the Ludgate Lake Sheer (LLS) as a brad, subvertica t steepy suth-dipping resistivity w and a sharper chargeabiity w - bth centered at 00S. As, acrss the LLS, an apparent bck dwn-fauting ccurs twards the nrth. f interest, a 200 ft wide, subvertica deep seated chargeabiity high at 350N is identified at the 000 ft eve, just nrth f the LLS. A secnd, pssiby assciated feature at 3

Quanter 650S-550S appears t dip steepy nrthward ang the cntact and, despite its narrwing width with depth, the increasing chargeabiity suggests an increase in suphide cntent. Additina chargeabiity high features suth f the LLS (960S and 460S) appear t be crsscut/ffset by a shaw dipping (Suth) structure, yet remain depth-extensive. * Ang 6+W, the ReaSectin respnse is identica t 8+W - identifying a sharp decrease in resistivity and chargeabiity acrss the LLS (near 200S). and an apparent bck dwnfauting twards the nrth. As with 8+N, a buried 200 ft wide subvertica chargeabiity high is identified bew the 800ft eve - this time near 00N, which suggests this ineament is SEtrending (.e. parae t the Buffnta-Tumer Shear trend). As we, a secnd, narrwer subvertica chargeabiity high is as identified suth f the LLS cntact at 350S-400S - the NS psitin f this zne indicates a NE-SW ineament when crreated with the 8N anmay. This feature is strnger and shawer (~400ft) than the nrthern zne, and appears t strengthen at depth - suggesting an increase in disseminated suphides and gd vertica extensin. Simiar depth-extensive chargeabiity features are as identified at 350S and 50S. * The ReaSectin frm 4+W as identifies a reststivity/chargeabiity cntact assciated with the Ludgate Lake Shear zne, near 200S - with a simiar bck dwn-fauting frm suth t nrth impied. A brad (500ft wide), buried anmay (>600ft) appears t mark the intersectin f the bth biquey-striking NE-SW and NW-SE chargeabiity highs identified in L8+W and L6+W - the maximum vaue f chargeabiity near the 500ft eve suggests it is as deep seated and/r depth-extensive. Narrw subvertica chargeabiity highs near 900S, DS and 4+50S appear t be depth-staggered - suggesting they extend frm a mderatey suth-dipping feeder system? * Finay, the ReaSectin ang L2+W again identifies the LLS as a resistivity/chargeabiity cntact and zne f apparent bck dwn-fauting near 200S. A weak, diffuse high at 200ft eve depths near 50S impies a deepy buried suth-dipping feature. Tw additina, buried chargeabiity highs are as identified near 600S and 60S. A prminent decrease in buk chargeabiity is nticeabe suth f 2+S - pssiby demarcating the suthern extent f the Winterad mineraizatin. In cncusin The Winterad ReaSectin survey has highighted the high resutin and deep penetratin characteristics f the technique. In additin t better defining knwn gegic structures, it has as identified additina znes f interest - as yet undiscvered with cnventina gephysica arrays and methds. It is recmmended that the IP anmaies assciated with the Ludgate Lake Shear zne be the first t be dried and cassed accrding t gegic interest. The remaining chargeabiity highs ccurring t the suth ccur in znes f utcrp, and shud be priritized in accrdance with mre detaied gegic mapping. The cause f the majr NE-SW break cud as prve imprtant in priritizing anmaies in dse prximity. Prir t additina driing, hwever, it may be beneficia t increase the ReaSectin cverage - particuary t the centra suthwest and t the centra nrth-east. RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED, QUANTEC IP INC.
