Hello! Brendan Mace here with my partner Dalton Scott. Before we start the journey of this valuable book, there s one question I know you have: WHO ARE WE AND WHY ARE WE QUALIFIED TO TEACH YOU ANYTHING? First off, I m definitely not a guru. And I ve never studied marketing or business in college. I m a 29-year old guy who was sick of his teaching gig and wanted to travel the world on his own terms. I never tried to make money online so that I could make millions or buy fancy cars 1

All I wanted is to travel the world and never look at the price tag on anything before buying it. My name is Brendan Mace and I m a 6-figure lifestyle entrepreneur from Canada. Now what the heck does that mean? That means I make around 200K/yr while traveling 300+ days every year. I love traveling and that s my form of FREEDOM. Your form of freedom might just be having enough money to pay for your kids college, or being able to take your wife to the fanciest restaurant in town anytime you wish, or getting her that object you know she secretly wants but wouldn t tell you Whatever that might be, email marketing is definitely able to provide you with it. One thing about me is I love bragging about myself. But (for now) let me introduce you to my business partner Dalton Scott. Dalton: Hey there my name is Dalton Scott and yes Brendan does love to brag about himself a lot. I know because we ve traveled together to Thailand a year ago after his guidance allowed me to start making 10K a month with email marketing. I m more of hometown guy. I don t like traveling as much as what Brendan does. So my kind of freedom is a bit different Freedom to me is being able to work on my own hours, be close to my family and invest in cryptocurrencies while talking about politics. I m 26 years old and I ve started a few businesses before email marketing. Most of my old students know me for being the best coach on Kindle marketing. I ve helped 3 students quit their day job and one of them is making 10k a month too. I ve started a couple other businesses and made multiple six figures with them But honestly I just got BORED. When I first met Brendan he told me about this affiliate marketing and email marketing opportunity and I was amazed 2

WHAT IS EMAIL MARKETING? Email marketing is simple. It s when person A (or business A) sends an email to person B about a paid offer. And person B makes the purchase. Simple. If you ve ever bought a product from clickbank, jvzoo, warriorplus or even Amazon after a recommendation via email You ve been marketed to using email marketing. Automation helps you send that same promotional email to thousands and thousands of people in one click. That might sound like spamming but it s NOT. HOW DOES THAT MAKE ME MONEY? Basically, you want to be person A all the time. ALWAYS be the creator and NOT the consumer. Stop buying. Start selling. Capiche? Practically talking You want to apply these 5 steps: 6

STEP 1: PICK A NICHE This could be your passion. Whatever you fantasize about during the day when you re not working That could be a possible email marketing business. If you like sports, you re in a sacred place because that niche is insanely monetizable. If you like personal development and Tony Robbins kind of stuff That s also a huge niche. If you like sex and you re good at it, there s a market for that too (lol)... If you like knitting there s a market for that. So you get the idea Find out what you ENJOY doing and make an email business around that. Just make sure it s not underwater basket weaving. Actually HOW Do You Know If A Niche Is Monetizable? There s a few factors that tell you instantly if a niche is worth it or not. There s a LOT of competition. - Go for the big competition niches, because the smaller ones have already been discovered by other smarter marketers who realized there s no money to be made there. If you like scratching walls then I don t think there s a massive audience who would pay you to teach them how to scratch walls or pay you to do so. Got it? There are products being sold on ClickBank.com in your niche. - Good old Click Bank is probably the biggest library of affiliate programs for digital products online. Every single monetizable niche is in there. If yours is not there, it probably wouldn t work with email marketing. There are ADS on google when you research your niche. - Any good niche has a good amount of advertisers who love getting the customer s attention to their own business. If there are no ads on google about your niche, that s definitely a bad sign. There are forums around your niche. - That means there are people who are passionate enough about this THING that they would spend a lot of their time on the ugliest looking sites ever Forums. Little communities of passionate people is a good sign. 7

Or if you just want to skip the process Go with the internet marketing / make money online niche. That s what most people do. And if you have bought at least a couple of information products in the past you probably know more than the average person who s looking to make money online. That DOES NOT qualify you to actually sell them methods on making money online. But you can easily sell affiliate stuff that way, since you re already in the niche and you are passionate about making money online :-) STEP 2: FIND OUT WHAT PEOPLE WANT If you re going to a knitting community trying to sell them how to make word documents You probably wouldn t make any money. You have to know what people want in your niche. And you do that by LISTENING: Sign up to the forums in your niche Join the facebook groups See what your support desk questions are like (for the veterans) Reply to your customer s emails (for the veterans) In a nutshell, be proactive and attentive in your niche and you ll know what they want. That s also a part of copywriting, which is a skill you should learn overtime. If you don t know what people want, you can t sell it to them. 8

STEP 3: GET PEOPLE S EMAILS That s a 2 part process. Part 1: Make an optin page about what they want. If you re in the golf niche you could make an optin bribe that promises them 10 Easy Hacks To Improve Your Swing By 10 Yards or something like that Hey you re the golf expert, not me. I m the marketing expert, remember? Bottom line: Give them a TASTE of what they want for free in exchange for their email. You ll need a page builder to create an optin page. Clickfunnels is a good funnel-building tool that helps you build optin pages and all kinds of other pages you will need in the future by providing you with awesome templates that change making optin pages from a $500 task outsourced to a team of designers and developers into a 15 minute thing you could easily do yourself. Clickfunnels has been a life saver for my business, to say the least. Part 2: Buy their attention towards your optin page. Now you need to figure out where they hang out. If you re in the Internet Marketing niche, Solo Ads are the way to go because most people are on those lists. If you re in any other niche just place your ads on: Facebook Youtube Ads Forums Those are the highest converting traffic sources for now in any niche, generally speaking. You place an ad in your desired ad platform. Send the traffic to your optin page. Let it spend up to $100 and see how much money you made back. Could be less than 9

100 could be more. Depends on your funnel structure. Want a high converting funnel? I m showing you my highest converting funnel on the webinar live here. STEP 4: SELL THEM WHAT THEY WANT Once you know what they want, you want to sell it to them WHILE delivering what they NEED in order to obtain their desired outcome. The highest converting offer on clickbank for a while was The Venus Factor. They sell them on the idea that they can drop up to 8 dress sizes, which a lot of women want But they actually deliver good content on diets and workouts. So, find out what your customers WANT. And give it to them, in exchange for money. The following chapter will tell you WHAT to sell 10

WHAT DO I SELL? Selling your own products If you re already an expert in your niche, you want to go this route because: You ll make more money You ll have a better relationship with your leads You ll be happy to see people go through life-changing transformations after they buy your product and use it. It s a fulfilling job. There are a few products you can easily sell as an expert: -- Video course ($7 - $497): This could be your answer to their question recorded on a video training to be delivered to thousands of people. You could create a quick course for $7 or you could create a really in depth one that answers most of their questions and sell it for $497. It s eventually your choice but I will recommend selling higher ticket products because you will get the chance to explain everything proprely and feel well compensated for your effort. -- Group coaching ($197 - $997): You ll closely work with a group of 5-50 people to solve their problem over a period of time. I ve seen group coachings extend up to a full year (on the high end) and as short as 4-weeks on the low end. Your customers get what they pay for. This involves 1-2 group calls per week where you go through each person s problems and situation. Plus a community where they talk and help each other, a good example would be a facebook group with weekly webinars. - - Private 1-on-1 calls ($297 - $997): It is what it s called. You have a private meeting over skype with the customer where they explain their problem and you help them define what actions they should take to get over it. This could be priced from $297 per call up to $997 per call. Calls can be 1 up to 3 hours long. Don t be afraid to be generous with your time. Always over-deliver, and you ll have FANS for life. 11

-- Private Coaching ($2,000 - $50,000): Yes there are people who charge 50 grand for private coaching because of their branding and the seriousness of the customer s problem. I think this one is obvious. You work with ONE person closely over the period of 3-12 months to permanently solve their problem. This is the highest form of help you could offer them because you work with them personally over an extended period of time, and it actually gives you time to think about it and really help them, plus you are well compensated. Don t forget: YOU set your own prices in this one :-) I would encourage you to sell at least one of each of the above products/services. Start from $10 or even $97 and go up to $10K if your market allows that pricing. The elevation from being a $10 customer to a $10K client, would be called going up the value ladder. The value ladder is the stairs of your business s products/services. Think about it like this: When someone signs up for free for your optin bribe, their at level 0. When they buy your $10 ebook, they are at level 1. They buy your $297 group coaching, they are at level 2. Then they get your personal coaching and they are at level 4. Simple, right? Selling other people s products: - - Affiliate products ($10 - $97): You go to clickbank.com and you pick an offer that suits your audience. You send an email about it and the other guy does the selling. That s it. You make 50-75% of the sales you make, usually. The commission is really high on digital products compared to Amazon which only gives you a stupid 4% commission, because digital products have no hard costs except for the expert s time when he created the course/thing you re selling. 12

-- JV Launches ($10 - $197): I ve made this one a different bullet because it deserves its own one. JV Launches are product launches that rely on affiliate traffic for support. These are GREAT to make money with because there s this big hype and looking-up to the release of the product you re promoting. Your customers have this hollywood-like experience of joining a waiting list and counting the days until the product comes out. That s a really strong selling angle. Plus they usually have multiple scarcity angles such as price increases and earlybird pricings and such things that give you reasons to email your list again about this product over the launch period. Mix in JV Launches with evergreen affiliate promotions and you ll be doing good. But if you want to do great -- JV Webinars ($497 - $8,000): This is probably the most lethal weapon you could use as an affiliate. JV Webinars are when someone else has a really good offer to sell and they have a webinar ready where they sell it on and YOU send your people to attend the webinar. This is mostly only available to people who can get at least 100 people live on a webinar, that makes it worth it for the presenter. But when your list gets big enough you will definitely see the power of this kind of selling machine. My first ever webinar made $9,000 with 170 people attending live. Not bad considering I never did one before. Now I have people asking ME to sell to their lists on a live webinar. That s amazing. You want to ask around circles about these jv webinars and you ll find some. Most of them give you a 30-50% commission and could be good money for you if you never sold a high ticket item to your list. Those are the 3 different things you could promote as an affiliate to make money with email marketing. I recommend never getting used to using only one method because it bores the heck out of your customers. Your leads always want a new experience. Something NEW. Think about your leads as your newly-met girlfriend. You always want to make her experience something new on the next date, not bore her to death with the same restaurant. Diversifying the offers you promote from Affiliate to Launch to JV Webinar will make you more money and make your leads on the edge of their seats to see what you have for them that day. 13

HOW OFTEN DO I EMAIL? This is a question which everybody asks. Some people recommend mailing only once a week. Others swear by contacting your leads daily. They all miss the point It s not about quantity. It s about quality. You only contact your leads when you have something to say. Don t ever mail for the sake of mailing. That could also mean you would have multiple things to say in one day Don t be afraid to mail multiple times a day if you really have good stuff to say. A good example is when you re promoting a product launch and there s an earlybird for a few hours and then the price increases at midnight. You want to send an email when the launch starts. You want to send another one before the earlybird expires, so that your customers get the product at the lowest price. You also want to mail a few hours before midnight to give your people a last warning before the price increases at midnight. This is great because: -- It s mailing WITH A PURPOSE (as in texting with a purpose, for the PUA guys out there. I m sure you Dalton are loving this one.) It will make you money money, but... -- It s customer-focused. You re not only mailing because you want to make money. You re mailing them because you want them to get the best deal possible. And if that shows, they will LOVE you for it. 14

Some people might say it s an extreme case. I ll just leave this here; There are people who mail 3-5 times DAILY and make $1Million per year. Do what works for YOU and your customers and disregard what the gurus or the community would tell you to do. Be yourself. Again some PUA advice here too. Ever notice making money is like attracting girls? 15

THE PERFECT RATIO WHAT S THE PERFECT RATIO BETWEEN PROMOTIONS AND CONTENT EMAILS? This one is tricky and the proper answer is to TEST different ratios and see what works for your people. But if you re asking me I have a long followup which sends one email a day that s content-based. And I send my promotions in broadcasts. I might do 1-2 promotions a week. Each one lasting 2-3 days. But I always send out 1 piece of content a day. That s how I do it, and it works for me. - Others recommend sending 3 value emails then one pitch. -- And there are also others who mail ONLY paid offers. - Some people swear by a 80/20 formula 80% value and 20% pitch. Does this ratio even matter? Not really. What should you do? Do what makes your customers happy and maximizes your $/ lead. I m going to dive deeper into this on the LIVE webinar here. Make sure you attend and pay attention because it s going to be AWESOME. Dalton: Brendan says a lot of things are awesome but this webinar presentation is actually good because we both worked on it. Brendan: Finally, some truth Dalton: You know what s also true? Brendan: What? 16

Dalton: This conversation is totally scripted to make the reader laugh. Please laugh. Ha. Ha. Okay let s get back to dropping some knowledge bombs Brendan: You always have to be the troll, don t you? Anyway HOW MUCH AM I SUPPOSED TO MAKE PER SUBSCRIBER? The industry average in internet marketing is $1 per lead. I have a list of around 20,000 people and I make around $20,000 per month on average. It s a fair estimate. I m always working on improving the $/lead of course and you should be doing the same. Test different strategies. Dalton: He means throw shit at the wall and see what sticks. That s your winning formula. Brendan: Or that. Yes. 17

TAKING YOUR EMAIL BUSINESS TO 10K/MO? HOW DO I TAKE MY EMAIL BUSINESS TO $10K/MO? While this is the topic of our live webinar here which you should be already signed up for by now because it s going to be SICK Getting to 10k/mo requires some math. Yes, math. But you don t need to be a genius to do this. Heck, if even Dalton did it Why couldn t you? Dalton: Great! Insulting my intelligence to show them how easy this is. WONDERFUL. But you do have a point. Go on Brendan: Yeah. This all comes down to YOUR funnel. Your funnel is what your customers goes through in their total experience with your brand. An example of a funnel would be: - User signs up through your optin page. -- User receives value-building emails. - User sees a welcome video with a pitch. 18

- User receives a pitch for your $97 video-course. (or an affiliate offer) - User receives a pitch for your $297 group coaching (or a similar affiliate offer) - User registers to your webinar where you sell them a $4,997 coaching package (or a JV webinar) That could all happen in a 3-week period. That s an example of a funnel. Let s do some numbers: To keep it realistic let s do really low numbers assuming you re the world s worst copywriter and you have very mediocre communication skills. I d make a joke about Dalton here but I think it s too much for him to handle. You buy 1,000 leads in solo ads which cost you $600. (- $600) (I ll show you how you can pay $0.3/click and have an optin page converting at 50% on the webinar here) Only 30 (3%) of them buy your $97 video course. (+$300) Only 2 (0.2%) of them join your group coaching. (+$600) Let s say you really fucked up and nobody joined your group coaching. Which is very unlikely but let s assume you re the most unlucky guy on earth You spent: $600 You made back: $900 Profit: $300 In a 3-week period. That s with really butchered numbers and if you have the slightest personality you could have way higher numbers. But still, you made your money back + a 50% ROI in 3 weeks. That s a 3-week funnel which you can REPEAT. Because your leads have a very short attention span and less than 60% of your subscribers would open your emails You can send the same promotion once every 4-6 weeks and it would be totally OKAY. 19

Also you want to have at least 3 video courses at $97 that you could switch between promos. Which means you will make $900 every 3 weeks. (assuming nobody ever buys your coaching) That s $100/week with 1,000 leads = $1,200/month with 1,000 leads. HERE S THE BEST PART: Since your profitable You just keep on buying more and more leads! Once you hit 8,400 leads you ll be at $10,080/month in passive income just by sending emails. HOW AWESOME IS THAT? The first time I realized this it literally blew my mind. Dalton: If it blew your mind you wouldn t be alive by now. Brendan: Nice one. Dalton: Yeah I think I ll close this one. Hey guys it s Dalton now speaking (or typing). What Brendan has just taught you is the same stuff he told me when we first met. I m really grateful for it because I started to love this stuff once I realized it s all math. And I suck at that.
