Welcome to Diamond Vision Thank you for choosing Diamond Vision LASIK Center. We offer free consultations with highly qualified and experienced, award-winning surgeons. Our procedures use modern technology and generally allow you to resume your activities the next day. For your convenience, Diamond Vision features ten locations and is open seven days a week in a state near you. Note: Recovery times and individual results may vary.

LASIK Procedures and Benefits A LASIK procedure can reduce your dependence on glasses and contact lenses. These are quick, FDA-approved, and high-technology procedures where we use one or more lasers or a customized lens. ilasik - The ilasik procedure combines all of the latest all-laser LASIK technology in one efficient procedure. The ilasik laser vision correction procedure is truly customized just for you. When you have the ilasik procedure, you ll get a completely integrated, completely personalized procedure based on advanced vision correction technology at every step. Intralase - While traditional LASIK is a very safe, effective and precise procedure, Intralase surgery further reduces the risk of complications. As a result, patients gain a new level of confidence in laser vision correction. In addition, Intralase extends the benefits of the procedure to many patients who were poor candidates before.

LASIK Procedures and Benefits PRK - PRK laser eye surgery, or Photorefractive Keratectomy, is part of a family of procedures called surface ablations because the laser is applied directly on the surface of the cornea rather than under a flap, as with LASIK. Implantable Contact Lens - You can enjoy vision that is clearer and more vivid in a simple outpatient procedure that doesn t remove any corneal tissue. This implantable contact lens is made with a Collamer material, which is flexible, biocompatible, and created with built-in protection against harmful UV light rays.

Is LASIK Right for You? We offer procedures that can help dramatically improve your vision whether you are nearsighted, farsighted, or even have astigmatism or presbyopia. During your free consultation, we will test and determine your specific vision needs along with the best corrective procedure. You can also take our free self-evaluation online. Generally speaking, you are a good candidate for LASIK if you are at least 18 years of age, are in good health, and have a stable vision prescription for at least one year. The following describes the most common vision problems and explains how LASIK can help correct them. Emmetropia is a state in which the eye is relaxed and focused on an object more than 6 meters or 20 feet away. The light rays coming from that object are essentially parallel, and the rays are focused on the retina without effort. This represents normal vision, meaning you see well without the assistance of corrective lenses.

Is LASIK Right for You? Myopia (Nearsightedness) is a condition of the eye where light focuses in front of, instead of on, the retina. This causes distant objects to be blurry while close objects appear normal. In a LASIK producer, a corneal flap is cut into the cornea and lifted to allow the laser to access the exposed corneal tissue. Then the laser removes the tissue according to the required correction. Hyperopia (Farsightedness) is a condition of the eye in which light is focused behind, instead of on, the retina. This results in close objects appearing blurry, while distant objects may appear normal. As the condition worsens, objects at all distances may be blurry. Laser eye surgery is used to reshape the cornea, so that glasses or contact lenses are not needed.

Is LASIK Right for You? Astigmatism is a type of refractive error in which the eye does not focus light evenly on the retina. This results in distorted or blurred vision at all distances. Refractive surgery is successful in treating astigmatism. Presbyopia is a condition associated with aging of the eye that results in progressively worsening ability to focus clearly on close objects. A LASIK procedure uses laser refractive surgery to correct the dominant eye mainly for distance vision and the non-dominant eye mainly for near vision, while the depth of field of each eye is increased. As a result of the increased depth of field, the brain merges the two images, creating a blend zone, which is in focus for both eyes.

LASIK Procedure During your LASIK procedure, your doctor will administer numbing eye drops to prevent any discomfort and may also give you a medication to help you relax. You will lie down facing up, and your eye will be safely positioned under the laser instrument. A suction ring will be applied to prevent eye movements, and the doctor will mark the cornea where the flap will be created. You will look at a target light as the laser light painlessly reshapes your cornea. After surgery, you will rest before heading home with someone. You may feel an itching or burning sensation following the procedure and experience some blurred vision, but it is temporary, and your will stabilize and improve within a few days. Generally, you will return the day after surgery so the doctor can examine your eyes and determine if you are legally able to drive without glasses or contact lenses.

LASIK Cost The initial consultation is free. You will be charged $250 for your pre-operative measurements. If you decide to proceed with surgery, this fee will be applied to the cost of your procedure. We are currently offering significant discounts. At your free consultation, you will learn about financing opportunities (through Care Credit) as well as the simple steps that will help you achieve the vision you need and the lifestyle you want. Payment must be made in full before the procedure. All major credit cards are accepted, as well as bank checks. Personal checks are accepted only one week prior to surgery. Debit cards are only accepted for payments of $500 and under, depending on your debit cards daily withdrawal limit.
