Message From the President and CEO Our customers and their patients expect a lot from us and they should. MicroVention s success relies heavily on the partnership with our customers. RICH CAPPETTA, President and CEO Ongoing device development and refinement have revolutionized the neuroendovascular field at an exceptionally fast pace. Knowledge and best practices in this field are continually progressing. As new research, techniques, and standards become available it is important that our organization continues to remain nimble and responsive to the market and our customers needs. For us, this means being a reliable and agile partner, demonstrating a high level of service, and providing our customers the finest available technology for their patients. Since our inception, we remain dedicated to the neuroendovascular industry. As we look at our growth over the past two decades we are proud of what we have accomplished and will continue to drive towards our vision of being the industry leader with an integrated product approach and customizable solutions. We have a long track record of innovation and industry firsts and know that our success is built solely on the partnerships with our customers who share our passion for innovation and technology. Rich Cappetta, President and CEO We are a dedicated and supportive team comprised of remarkably compassionate people from around the world, each eager to share his or her own unique talents, integrity, teamwork, and accountability. All are here to make a difference and to enable the advancement of the industry and patient care. It is this approach, combined with exceptional physician partnerships, that have allowed us to go from being a small coil company to having an extensive, comprehensive product line serving various disease categories. Looking toward the future, we are committed to excellence in everything we do, and we strive to continually improve and innovate. We are dedicated to achieving results that exceed expectations our own and our customers.

The Past, Present, and Future of Innovation OUR VISION MicroVention s goal is to be the leading global neuroendovascular company. We will accomplish this goal by producing the most reliable, easiest to use and most technologically advanced products supported by proven clinical data. MicroVention is equally committed to providing cost efficient and accessible healthcare. OUR MISSION MicroVention Production MicroVention is an industry leader in the creation and commercialization of innovative neuroendovascular technologies that provide a meaningful improvement in patient lives. A HISTORY OF EXCELLENCE The Company was founded and incorporated in a small facility in 1997 in Southern California. From the beginning, it was our founding principle to establish the strategic objective of developing and marketing medical devices, which will enable or significantly improve the treatment of diseases in small blood vessels. After developing early concepts and prototype devices for the treatment of acute embolic stroke and embolization of cerebral aneurysms, our company narrowed its focus to aneurysm therapy, developing a line of implantable, detachable neuroendovascular platinum coils. From these early concepts, our first products were born: The MicroPlex Coil System, a bare platinum coil, and the HydroCoil Embolic System, a polymer gel-coated platinum coil. These products have evolved over the last 15 years and we continue to expand those product lines with new state-of-the-art technologies for the treatment of cerebral aneurysms. In 2006, MicroVention was acquired by the Japan-based TERUMO Corporation which was established in 1921. With TERUMO s support, MicroVention has continued to operate autonomously, which has allowed the company to grow independently and more rapidly. From our modest beginnings we have experienced significant growth, capacity, and capability. Today, MicroVention s extensive intellectual property and a strong R&D pipeline support ongoing innovation in neurointervention devices and a continuously expanding product portfolio. We are a global company with focus on disease-based solutions: Aneurysm Therapy Solutions, Ischemic Stroke and Carotid Artery Solutions, Neurovascular Malformation Solutions, and a comprehensive line of Access Products. The company is comprised of more than 1,700 associates worldwide with a reach of over 75 countries. WHERE INNOVATION STARTS OUR GLOBAL REACH MicroVention is expanding and to keep up with that demand we are moving our worldwide headquarters to Aliso Viejo, California in 2017. Our new Innovation Center provides technological and environmental efficiency advantages, a larger manufacturing area, and expansive research and development labs. MicroVention is a worldwide business that operates in every region across the globe. We have delivered superior market growth and financial performance since becoming a part of the TERUMO Corporation and are dedicated to continuing to drive towards further global expansion that targets over 100 countries. The global marketplace presents both exciting and challenging opportunities for our Company. As MicroVention continues to expand, we are implementing a comprehensive strategic agenda focused on increasing our global leadership and developing product lines that meet the needs of physicians worldwide. A 360 Approach to Performance-Based Solutions MicroVention currently consists of four main product groups: Aneurysm Therapy, Ischemic Stroke and Carotid Artery Disease, Neurovascular Malformations, and Access Products. Additionally, our extensive product lines in each category allow our customers to uniquely address and customize the needs of their patients for many types of situations. ANEURYSM THERAPY SOLUTIONS for ruptured and unruptured aneurysms. MicroVention has two distinct coil lines Hydrogel Coils and Platinum Coils both used with the V-Trak Delivery System. Additional products include our aneurysm embolization system,* coil-assist stents,* compliant dual-lumen balloons,* flow diverter stents,* and access technologies. We design, innovate, and manufacture using exclusive materials, proprietary technologies, and exquisite detail. Our aneurysm portfolio is backed by numerous clinical studies and independent research for great performance and versatility. ISCHEMIC STROKE and CAROTID ARTERY DISEASE SOLUTIONS provide options for stenting and mechanical thrombectomy. This portfolio includes carotid stents, aspiration catheters, and mechanical thrombectomy products. At MicroVention, we continue to make a significant investment into the design and innovation of our stroke technology platform. We recognize customer challenges and have made an unwavering commitment to deliver innovative technology that provides exceptional options for both flexibility and efficiency. NEUROVASCULAR MALFORMATION SOLUTIONS for the treatment of Dural Arteriovenous Fistulae (DAVF), Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM), and Tumors. We took a novel approach by designing a ready-to-use precipitating hydrophobic injectable-liquid device that is free from metallic components such as tantalum, while providing optimum visibility.* Our Headway Duo microcatheter and Scepter compliant dual-lumen balloons complement this category to maximize each patient s treatment options. Cosmos Complex Coil* Scepter XC and Scepter C Occlusion Balloon Catheter Sofia Plus Soft Torqueable Catheter* *Not all products available in all markets.

Our Access Products Round Out Our Portfolio ACCESS PRODUCT SOLUTIONS complete our portfolio to drive a 360-degree approach to delivering comprehensive solutions. The majority of our access products: guide catheters, intermediate catheters, microcatheters, balloon microcatheters, and guidewires are specifically designed to work interchangeably across each of our product lines. In addition, we provide multiple-access product configurations that include a variety of length, flexibility, shape, inner and outer diameter, design and material. Think of MicroVention as an ideal integrated provider for all neuroendovascular device needs.
