Learn how to appliqué sharp points and curves. This little quilt is an additional version to Jan s newest pattern, Romantic Baskets. Make the quilt or make one basket block into a pincushion. This is a great project to learn applique. Cost: $54.00 for class quarter, $20.00 pattern A Tisket - A Tasket - Love My Favorite Basket with Gloria Parsons Mondays, August 8, Tuesday, September 6, Monday, October 3 5:30-8:30pm This is the Tisket Tasket I love my little basket Club! We will work with cotton fabric, wool, and other mixed media techniques! You will applique your pattern to your background, quilt your block and bind. Then attach to the front of your basket! Each month the pattern will change! PLUS...extra designs will be brought to class for you to purchase so if you want a larger variety you ll be able to purchase extra designs. Now, here s the best part! Scraps of fabric, buttons, wool, etc. will be brought to class for you to pick from in making your block! That means no two will be exactly the same! I ll even help you with your color choices! We have extra baskets if you would like to make more than one. PATTERNS EXCLUSIVE TO CLUB MEMBERS ONLY! This will continue through December 2016. Cost: $45.00 registration (includes first month and basket), $15 each subsequent month American Beauty Blocks of the Month with Faye Heyn Saturdays, Sept 3, Oct 1, Nov 5, (skip Dec), Jan 7, Feb 4, Mar 1 9:00-10:00am We call this a Blocks of the Month quilt as you will be making 4 blocks each month. That way you will have a new quilt for your bed in half the time! This 12 block sampler quilt measures approximately 85 x 105 and uses Marti Michell s template set L. It is a perfect quilt for beginners and experienced quilters alike. Class will include a one-hour lecture/demonstration featuring cutting and piecing tips. If you have not rotary cut using these templates before you will be amazed not only at the accurate cutting but also at your accurate piecing. We will ask you to choose a theme fabric select a beautiful multi-colored fabric. The first class will cover additional fabric selection as well as the cutting and piecing of your first four blocks. Customize to coordinate with your décor. These make wonderful gifts so get a jump start on Christmas with this fun project. Pattern will be provided. Cost: $30.00 for class, free pattern provided in class Club Sunday Sundays, August 14, September 11 and October 9 11:00am-4:00pm Are you wanting to start a club but don t have quite enough people to attend? This may be the day for you! We are opening the shop on Sunday at 11am these dates to allow small groups to meet in our classroom for 5 hours. UFO, Featherweight, Hand Embroidery, Fiber Arts all are welcome! We have 2 classroom so you can group together to meet and still allow space for other groups. Dimensional Lone Star with Faye Heyn* Saturday, August 27, September 3 and 12 12:30-3:30pm Attention Embroidery Machine owners: This class is for you. This large eight pointed star shows off its diamond shapes with a 3D effect. Modern and simple straight-line quilting all done in the hoop makes this a quick project. Block sizes range from 5 to 9 and all are multi-formatted. Fnished size of this project will be determined by which block size you choose but range from a 30 to 55 square. Cost: $65.00 for class + $59 for CD Egg Money Quilts with Faye Heyn* Tuesdays, August 23, 30, Sept 6, 13, 20, 27 6:00-8:00pm A perfect beginning quilting class as you will get a Sampling of traditional quilting block patterns. Curved piecing, edge-to-edge sewing, set-in blocks and even some applique will be explored. These blocks can easily be made into a lap quilt or add a pretty scalloped border for a queen or king. Cost: $75.00 for class + book Embroidery Club with Faye Heyn First Wednesday of every month 2:00-8:00pm Do you own an embroidery machine but haven t really used it? Join us the first Wednesday of each month for an afternoon of stitching and networking. Arrive any time after 2 but around 6 we will have show and tell, snacks followed by a hands-on project or demonstration. Feathered Star with Faye Heyn Tuesday, September 20 10:30am-3:00pm This beautiful and traditional quilt pattern is made easier with the rotary cutting templates and directions from Marti Michell. In 4 hours of class time we will not be able to cut and piece a full size quilt!!!! So, our goal will be to complete ONE star using just one main color, and accent color and a background color. We will have time to plan full sized quilts with yardage requirements in class. Cost: $30.00 for class, $18-22 templates Ghouls Night Out with Janice and Michele Friday, October 28 3:00pm-midnight Something Wicked This Way Comes: Join Michele and Janice for the return of Ghouls Night Out at Cinnamon's! We will witch (I mean stitch), eat and be scary! There will be a make-and-take and some toad-ally awesome door prizes. You will need your sewing machine, basic sewing supplies and a small project or two (for those quick witches who always finish first). Brooms are optional. Please bring a concoction to share and we will provide table snacks and witch's brew. Cost: $30.00 Interlocking Hexagons with Faye Heyn Tuesdays, September 27 and October 4 10:30am-12:30pm This quilt is perfect for showcasing fabulous fabrics with large motifs. One beautiful fabric with motifs that can be fussy cut will also work. Roses, birds or black and white prints that you have been collecting could be the focus. Or, what a wonderful way to show off your hand or machine embroidery skills. This quilt will be approximately 41 x 51 in size. Cost: $30.00 for class, $8.00 pattern, $18.00 template The Jordan Jacket with Donna Lawrence Wednesdays, August 17 and 24 10:30am-2:00pm Make a stylish statement with this tailored unlined jacket. Combines the option of piecing and quilting with the ability to customize the interior with the pockets you need. The size makes it versatile to use as either a wall hanging or table topper. You will learn how to use the Primitive Pinwheel tool. Cost: 30.00 for class, $5.00 pattern, $12.00 template Whole Nine Yards at Cinnamon s Saturday, August 20 or October 22 9:00am-9:00pm We are opening the classroom to sew for $14.99 for the day. The sewing hours will be 9 to 9. Bring your own food, something to share or eat out. There will be no facilitator. It will be a pedal to the metal kind of thing. We are limiting the enrollment so each person gets an entire table to themselves. Shop will also be open for attendees from...you guessed it, 9 to 9! Add the Night Stitchers on Friday, August 19 or October 21 for just $10 and have a 2 day mini-retreat to knock out your to-do list! Cost: $14.99 CLASS POLICIES Classes are reserved on a first come, first served basis. You are only guaranteed a spot in the class if you have paid for it. We can take a credit card over the phone, you can order online or come in. Our system does not allow us to hold a spot without payment. -- Store credits will only be given for a cancellation made 6 days before the scheduled class. For cancellations made 2-5 days prior to class, store credits will be provided for 50% of the class fee to your customer account. NO refunds will be given for the "no shows" or cancellations made within 24 hours of the class. Please note teachers are not required to offer make up classes. -- You will be notified 5 days prior to class date if the class does not make. -- Class fees DO NOT include supplies or pattern unless stated in the class description. -- We try to start classes on time. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of class to set up and get last minute supplies. Be ready when class begins. For before/after hour classes, we will open the doors 20 minutes before class begins. -- Children under 18 and guests are not permitted in adult classes. -- Please be familiar with the machine you are using. Please remember the power cords, foot pedal and all accessories (manual if needed). -- Please make sure your class will make before you buy supplies. A supply list will be given at the time of sign ups and are available on our website, www.cinnamonsquilts.com. -- If an item is needed for class that is a special order, all orders must be received no later than the Monday of the week before class to ensure item will be delivered in time for class. This excludes possible backorders that are beyond our control. -- If you have signed up for a retreat or special event, store credit will be given only if we can fill your spot. Many times this is possible because we have a waiting list. We will try our hardest to fill the vacant spot, but no promises.
