MultiLine MS40C/MS40P INDEX CNC multi-spindle machine: the standard! With two model options fully configurable as desired, we offer you a machine concept that meets all requirements and the most stringent demands. 6 main spindles, up to 2 swiveling synchronous spindles on the compact version and a maximum of 18 tool carriers on the quill version enable unimagined manufacturing possibilities. The MS40 was consistently designed for the use of stateof-the-art manufacturing technologies. Generously dimensioned and freely accessible, the working area minimizes setup cost especially for changeovers. Unhindered chip flow is ensured even at full tooling.

MultiLine MS40C/MS40P The core top precision from INDEX Our trade mark the spindle drum The compact spindle drum ensures maximum precision in each position through the use of a Hirth coupling. The core is composed of 6 fluidcooled motorized spindles integrated in the spindle drum. Infinitely variable speed control, high torque, small frame size, maintenance-free operation and advanced synchronous technology these are the criteria defining an INDEX CNC multi-spindle machine. Independent speeds During machining, the optimal speed, which can still be varied during cutting, can always be programmed for each spindle position and each cutting edge of the tool. The result is better chipping, maximum surface quality, short part production times, and longer tool service life. You can also machine highstrength materials that up to now were hardly suitable for multi-spindle machines. It is possible to make speed changes during drum indexing, thus avoiding any additional secondary processing times. MultiLine MS40P The multi-talent: MS40P Multi here means 18 tool carriers Do you have complex parts requiring many tools? No problem. The MS40P in quill configuration offers you 18 tool carriers each of which can hold up to 3 tools. This means up to 3 tools engaged simultaneously and up to 6 tools for rear end machining. This is truly a CNC multispindle machine that can cope with any technical challenge. The expansion stage in detail Compared to the compact version, the MS40P has an additional quillstock opposite the spindle drum, providing 6 additional tool carriers and 1 counter spindle. The counter spindle is used to grab the workpiece for rear end machining. A swivel unit places the parts on a conveyor to unload or transfers them to a handling system. Machine configuration The A-side works identically to the C version. 2 slides can be used in each position for machining the workpiece. In position 6 the swiveling synchronous spindle is replaced with an additional slide. The B-side has a slide in each of the positions 1 to 5 that can be used to machine the workpieces on the A-side. In position 6, there is a counter spindle traversing in Z, which fetches the workpiece after cutoff for rear end machining in positions 6.2 and 6.4. A true innovation: On the A-side, the slide 6.2 can optionally be used for machining on the A-side or for rear end machining on the counter spindle. A-side B-side 8
