ATI Radeon HD 5xxx, 6xxx, 7xxx (HD 58xx or higher recommended). To process RAW images larger than 20 Mpixels, a 64-bit operating system with 4 GB of RAM is strongly recommended. To process Nikon D800/D800E RAW images, a 64-bit machine is required. A machine equipped with a 4-core processor is strongly recommended. 2 GB available disk space (6 GB recommended) Microsoft Windows XP SP3 (32 bits only); Windows Vista (32 or 64 bits); Windows 7 (32 or 64 bits); Windows 8 (32 or 64 bits). o Nikon Coolpix P7700 o Nikon 1 J3 o Olympus XZ-2 ihs o Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH3 Corrected a problem with white balance that can occur for RAW files from Canon PowerShot SX50 HS in version 8.1.3 build 218 (also corrected in version 8.1.3 build 229). Enhancements since version 8.1.2 Support for 6 new cameras: o Leica M-E o Leica M9-P o Leica M9 o Nikon D5200 o Panasonic FZ200 o Canon PowerShot SX50 HS Important note for Leica users: Even if you have a lens for which an Optics Module is available, the automatic corrections cannot be applied unless your lens has been coded. For more information about coding lenses, see: http://en.leica-camera.com/service/service_m_system/6bit_code/. Processing RAW files is still possible regardless of the lens used. When detached, the image browser can be reduced to the size of a thumbnail. The order in which images are processed and printed corresponds to the same order as in the image browser (instead of the order in which the images were selected). Enhancements since version 8.1.1 Support for 3 new cameras: o Canon EOS 6D o Sony DSC-RX1 o Nikon 1 V2 An icon now indicates when a thumbnail is being updated. Enhancements since version 8.1 Support for 4 new cameras: o Sony SLT-A99 o Canon EOS M o Pentax K-5 II and K-5 IIs Enhancements since version 8.0.1 Support for 5 new cameras: o Sony NEX-6 o Canon PowerShot G15 and S110 o Olympus Pen E-PL2 and E-PM5 New color management and sharpness features in the print module (support for ICC profiles). New feature for removing EXIF data from output images. OpenCL can be activated as soon as the graphics card supports OpenCL. Attention, however: activating OpenCL can reduce performance if the graphics card is not sufficiently powerful with respect to the processor. The warnings about corrections not being visible at zoom levels lower than 75% are now displayed in the relevant sub-palettes. The messages that appears in the image browser are more explicit, indicating if a folder is empty, if a filter is activated, or if the folder content is still being downloaded.

Optics Modules that are already installed are now clearly indicated as such in the DxO Optics Modules download window. The space that the cache of previews and thumbnails occupies on the disk is now visible in the preferences (via a tooltip that shows the cache size when hovering over the slider). A gradient was added to the Exposure compensation, HSL, and Channel mixer to make their actions more predictable. Correction of artifacts that appeared in certain cases when applying DxO Smart Lighting at very high intensity. Enhancements since version 8.0.0 Support for 2 new cameras: o Sony NEX-5R o Nikon 1 J2. Enhancements since version 7.5.5 New DxO Smart Lighting tool that replaces the old DxO Lighting (whose controls are still accessible via the DxO Smart Lighting sub-palette by selecting the option DxO Optics Pro 7 ). New Selective tone tool that permits adjusting highlights, midtones, and shadows separately. New Smart Auto Exposure available for RAW and JPEG images. New default preset that uses DxO Smart Lighting and Smart Auto Exposure, and updates of all existing presets to include DxO Smart Lighting. New Contrast sub-palette based on the old Contrast command in the Color modes sub-palette; also introduces the new Microcontrast slider. New Color enhancement sub-palette that regroups the Vibrancy and Saturation sliders (based on the old Vibrancy and Color modes sub-palettes). New Style-Curve and Filter sub-palettes based on the old Color modes sub-palette. New default workspaces. New Dead Pixels slider in the Noise reduction sub-palette. New Moiré sub-palette. New automatic mode for the Protect saturated colors option in the Color rendering sub-palette. New Bicubic Sharper resampling as an output option. New print module that permits full-page or contact page printing of even unprocessed RAW and JPEG images. New caching system for previews and thumbnails. Improved correction of chromatic aberrations for images taken with equipment supported by an Optics Module. Improved color rendering for Canon EOS 5D, 5D Mark II, 7D, and Nikon D90, D5000, D7000, D3, D700. Improved color rendering generally (in particular saturated colors and when applying FilmPack renderings). Improved lens softness correction, in particular at strong accentuation. Improved availability of output options. Reorganization of the preferences window. Improved histogram (new graphics, R/G/B/L buttons to see channels separately). New sorting options (by virtual copy number; by sensitivity). New EXIF palette entries (exposure compensation, shooting mode, light measurement mode). All relevant thumbnails are updated when applying a preset to a selection of several images. Improved thumbnail rendering and improved rendering of the image in the Move/Zoom palette. Improved crop tool (the anchors are easier to grab when the image is displayed adjusted to the screen). In the output options, the image resolution can be adjusted without having to activate resampling. Numerous other improvements and bug fixes.

Known limitations For reasons of memory management, GPU acceleration is no longer available for 32-bit systems. On some graphics cards with little video memory, if more than two images are processed simultaneously with OpenCL acceleration, processing may fail. Reducing the number of simultaneously-processed images or disabling OpenCL resolves the issue. The distortion correction does not work properly for images shot with GoPro cameras whose original orientation has been modified by third-party applications. Macintosh System requirements Processor: Mac Intel only, 64-bit compatible (recommended: Intel Core i5 or higher). RAM: o Minimum: 2 GB or more. o Recommended: 4 GB or more. Graphics card: o 256 MB of video memory is recommended for the support of GPU acceleration. To process RAW images larger than 20 MPixels, a 64-bit operating system with 4 GB RAM is strongly recommended. To process Nikon D800/D800E RAW images, a 64-bit machine is required. A machine equipped with at least a 4-core processor is strongly recommended. 2 GB available disk space (6 GB recommended). Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.7 (Lion), or 10.8 (Mountain Lion).
